Mandara Spa is Norwegian Cruise Line's brand of spa facilities and is the ideal way for cruisers to unwind and relax with treatments for everything from sore muscles to split ends.
Mandara Spa first debuted on Norwegian Epic in 2010. The oasis is operated by the ubiquitous Steiner, which runs spas on several cruise lines. Mandara Spa is the gateway to true rest and relaxation on your next cruise vacation. Here's everything you need to know about Norwegian's Mandara Spa.
Spa services in Mandara Spa vary from ship to ship, but all have a large number of treatments and treatment rooms, including those for both individual and couples' massages. Changing rooms, saunas and steam rooms are also available.
Some ships also feature a courtyard with a hydrotherapy pool and a thermal suite. Cruisers can purchase day passes for the thermal suites for a fee and prices vary by sailing. Additionally, some ships also boast spa cabins, which include upgraded toiletries, as well as free access to the hydrotherapy pool and thermal suite.
At this seafaring spa, cruisers can get the ultimate VIP treatment. Book a couple's Swedish massage package or opt for individual offerings like a deep tissue massage or standard facial.
Each treatment allows travelers to unwind after busy days at port or take a breather from an active family cruise. Check the spa treatment menu for therapeutic offerings like acupuncture and "medi-spa" services that help you look and feel your best.
The Mandara Spa also includes a salon that offers treatments like haircuts, coloring and styling, as well as nail services. There’s also an express shave option for those who enjoy a little TLC for their facial hair.
The affiliated fitness center at Mandara Spa hosts classes and workouts like stretching, abs, yoga, Pilates, TRX and spinning -- some free and some for a fee.
Personal training is also available, as are a number of exercise machines (ellipticals, rowers, treadmills and weight machines) and free weights. Utilizing the fitness center is a great way to stay healthy onboard a cruise ship.
Onboard Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Escape cruisers will find Snow Paradise. Snow Paradise is a cooling room set at 14 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 degrees Celsius) to promote blood circulation and enhance the respiratory system, making it a great way to cool down after heating up in the Thermal Suite.
The Salt Room is another treat for the senses where spa-goers are surrounded by healing Himalayan Salt. Cruisers will find it onboard Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Getaway.
Prices vary by treatment type and length, and discounts are offered during port days and for multiple treatments booked at the same time. Typically you can get a higher discount if you book multiple treatments simultaneously.
Guests receive a tiered discount when three signature services are booked together. Receive 10% off the first treatment, 20% off the second and 30% off the third. All three signature treatments must be for the same guest, paid in advance and cannot be shared with others.
There are also special packages offered that bundle abridged versions of services (think mini massages and facials) together for a savings. Gratuities are added automatically to all spa, salon and personal training services.
Mandara Spa is available onboard the following Norwegian Cruise Line ships: Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Jade, Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Prima, Norwegian Sky, Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Star, Norwegian Sun, Norwegian Viva and Pride of America.
