Boarded the MSC Magnifica in Southampton and queue times were 1 hour + due to only 3 staff at check-in.
Once through check-in had to go through baggage scan then nose swab and sit and wait fro 30 minutes + and collect baording and cabin card.
Asked about registering credit card when i was at the desk and was told it is now done onboard where they take 250 euro and at end of cruise will ...
First of all the bad weather did play a big part in ruining our cruise,We visited Le Havre then We we’re planned to stop at Zeebrugge which got cancelled along with Ijmuiden so we sailed to Hamburg which was closed on a Sunday so why sail their.
Positives: The staff on board the ship where outstanding a special mention to Maria from Peru part of the waiting on staff
The cleanliness of the ...
We chose this cruise as it was starting in Southampton and we were able to drive there. On the 2nd day my phone was stolen whilst on board and staff were not helpful at all even though I was told by one member of staff that they are aware of "long fingered guests" and refused to let me check the camera with them. I felt uneasy throughout the rest of the cruise knowing there was a thief on board. ...
The cruise ship was very well appointed, clean and well maintained.
The cabin, a Bella Class Balcony, was spacious, well maintained and had good shower facilities.
The itinerary was good with varying destinations from the Mediterranean ( Malaga) to Northern Europe (Hamburg).
The service in the restaurant was poor, with up to half- an- hour wait for the first course. The choice was very ...
We have never sailed with MSC before but thought we would give it a try. We were aware that it is an Italian based cruise line and there would be a mix of nationalities, with announcements in different languages, and kept an open mind on how well this would work.
Embarkation was quick and smooth, about 15 t0 20mins from entering the terminal. First impressions of the ship were good. Quite ...
We were there for a family trip, we were 22 and many different ages, so we have lots of different points of views. I know this is an old ship, so I cannot criticize the low ceilings and small spaces. We are used to Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. The average age of most of the passengers here was about 75, so the kids and teens didn’t have much to do. Almost everyone was European.
I will start ...
It was well priced for Balcony Rooms and the Norway itinerary looked good. Embarkation was fine and everything seemed to be good.
My biggest complaint is the main Function Room was hired out to a Dance Group for the whole cruise so we couldn't use it in the evening. We actually got in one evening and were asked to leave.
About 80% of the British guests were in this group which meant all the ...
We chose this cruise as it sailed from Southampton. The only good thing was ship was clean and nicely decorated. We went to resturant first evening my husband order sirloin steak which was like shoe leather! I had chicken breast which was ploncked on chips no sides! So wr then ate in buffet for rest of cruise food was dreadful the only good thing was pizza. Our cabin on deck 10 wasn't the one we ...
Recommended by travel agent, having cruised for over 20 years with many cruise lines we found this quite disappointing, customer service was lacking and some of the staff were quite rude and unprofessional.
The ship itself was beautiful, gorgeous theatre, onboard entertainment in the lounges was mainly for the German passengers and quite poor.
Spoke to lots of customers and nobody had a nice ...
The ship is magnificent and the staff are really friendly and helpful and they are the only positives.
I have just returned from a 10 night Northern Europe cruise on the MSC Magnifica. I have cruised several times before and was looking forward to visiting different ports of call. Most of the docks were far away from any city centre and MSC charged €15.90 for the shuttle bus irrelevant of ...
