My sister and I chose this cruise line because we heard so many positive things about it and we liked the Itinerary. We have both cruised with other cruise lines and we heard that Oceania is a step above all these with a higher end service and food. We didn't realize that with a smaller ship you get less entertainment and also less choices for things to do during the day. The people that travel ...
This was our 5th cruise, all previously on the Windsurf. We wanted to try one of the Windstar motor yachts and were pleased by the itinerary and departure from a U.S. port. Embarkation was seamless. And, although we could have encountered seas which were rough due to a storm in the area, it was exceptionally calm for the entire sailing.
The Star Pride is a gorgeous small ship - and only 180 ...
We have cruises with Pearl Seas multiple times and it never disappoints. The crew are delightful. The food is delicious. The itineraries are unique. And we love small ship cruising! We would recommend the Pearl Mist to anyone who loves to be spoiled and is looking for an alternative to big ships. We cruised Canada and New England, Panama Canal, and Cuba with them. The best part is returning to see ...
This cruise was spectacular. We typically cruise Regent and have done Viking Ocean and Celebrity, but we can say without a doubt that this trip was over the top fabulous. The food was the best and most consistent we've had at sea, the service was impeccable, the ship was spotless, the ambience and care taken to every detail was amazing. We have never done a cooler weather cruise before but we ...
There is much to like about Seabourn's fall foliage cruise provided you don't encounter a hurricane (Dorian) and have to forego Prince Edward Island and opt instead for 2 nights in St. John New Brunswick, an unscheduled port where it rained sideways. The captain was cautious, and when we read about the power outages in PEI and the hurricane-related problems in Halifax, we felt good about ...
We chose this cruise because we were interested in the changing leaves in Canada, plus it went to the Canadian Maritime Provence's which we had never visited before. Those were the ports that were eliminated, and were the primary reason we had selected this cruise.
Silver Seas withheld information that the reason for the delay was that on the inbound, the captain had run the ship aground and ...
We wanted something smaller and more upscale than Royal Caribbean, and with few or no children.
Okay, here's the good, the bad and the ugly about Seabourn.
Good: Boarding is a BREEZE. We walked straight on after checking in.
Debarkation likewise, a breeze.
Staterooms: amazing. Best beds I've ever slept on on a cruise. Bathroom roomy. Pillows!
Food is mostly ...
Our travel agent raved about Windstar, told our group how excellent they were. She is now our ex travel agent. This experience was'nt even close to what she told us.
Most everything was poor, I don't know where to start, but here is my review.
Starting with the positive, the ship was clean, the room was of good size. That's the positive. NOW, for the negative, being genereous the food was ...
Seabourn used to be really good. No longer. Food quality is not much better than the lower priced lines. Service not as good as before. Ship a bit run down. Entertainment just ok. We expected really superior service and dining from Seabourn. That is no longer the case.
We were really looking forward to this cruise, having had a really nice cruise with this cruise line some years ago. They ...
This was our first Seabourn cruise...and our last. Past sailings have been on Oceania and I regret this trip was not with them, as well. I will repeat another review in saying the food was a huge disappointment for all the upscale hype associated with Seabourn. The selection of items lacked variety and portions were incredibly small. Size of portion is more appropriate for a ten year old. It was ...
