April 2019 trans Atlantic from Southhampton to New York City.
It's our 2nd Cunard cruise, we were on the Queen Elizabeth in the Med in 2012. We've been on small ships like the Thomson Dream at 42,000tons and the topic of todays review; the QM2 at 149,000tons, was the 2nd largest we've been on.
Food:
-The buffet and dining room food was just ok. Royal Caribbean and Norwegian ships have ...
Choose the cruise to get some sun after the European winter and because of a recommendation from cruising friends.
Star Clipper herself is becoming tired and in some areas is looking her age but you very quickly forget this as the experience gets better and better by the day. We boarded in Phuket and cruised the Thai islands and Penang. The crew generally were tireless in making things work. ...
It is difficult to express just how wonderful the Strand Cruise was. From go to whoa, the trip was sumptuous and salubrious.
From the seamless booking system and assistance from the Strand Hotel to being escorted from my hotel to the vessel, the entire check-in process was flawless.
The vessel resembles a floating palace and continues the chic colonial style that can be found at the ...
OK pulled up to the port for embarkation and since the ship was in Port of Nice until 10pm that evening there was no line. I mean no one. Walked thru a tent right outside the ship, up and on quickly since we had uploaded our photos on the Azamara website. Directed into the Cabaret and received our room keys and went to a nice lunch in the buffet.
Easiest embarkation ever experienced!
We had ...

Husband's Big 80 birthday - chose Oceania as previous experience on Riviera was very good. Love our food. Very nice itinerary, so we thought, out of Southampton finishing up in Barcelona.
Ship - very similar to Riviera. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had Penthouse Suite which was excellent. Very good design. Everything worked except WiFi which was dreadful and you could only ...
We selected this cruise based upon itinerary. We really wanted to sail around the Iberian peninsula and also have the opportunity to explore the Bordeaux wine area (this gave us two days in Bordeaux). The extra addition of Tangier in Morocco was also enticing and we loved our tour there. It was our second time with Oceania having previously sailed on the sister ship Riviera. These are the two ...
We chose this cruise for a chance to try Oceania, who has a great reputation, especially for foodies. We had cruised on Celebrity several times, a mainstream line known for good dining, and Princess to Alaska.
Oceania seems to really have honed in on their target audience, with many travelers we met haven taken 10+ cruises with the line and some even 20+ (and many Oceania cruises are more than ...
April 2019 - My wife and I have been on numerous cruises (22+) throughout the world on various cruise lines over the years. This was our fifth cruise with Oceania; the previous cruises were the Northeastern Seaboard, Bermuda, Cuba, India, the Middle East and Europe and Southern Africa cruises. The 17-day Rio to Barcelona Cruise started on April 18, 2019.
Our trip actually started on April ...
The windspirit, windstar cruise was brillant. Ive been on about 7 cruises and this surpassed them all. What a great way to see six islands in seven days without hassles of unpacking, travel time and moving. The windspirit only had 130 passengers and 100 crew. The food was fabulous - available 24 hours. The crew were so friendly and helpful. They were amazing at remembering names.
Our standard ...
