When you first step on board, you realize almost immediately, this is not your father's Carnival!
The ship is smart, modern, tastefully decorated. It still has a fun vibe, but loses a lot of the over the top in your face gaudiness that most people equate with Carnival Fun Ships.
Although the ship holds over 4000 passengers, it never felt overly crowded. Carnival has upped their game in almost every aspect. And for 8 days had nearly nothing to complain about except for a utterly nasty rack of Baby Back Ribs in the Pig And Anchor, and an overly chatty tour guide in St. Kitts.
Clean and spacious. The best thing about this cabin was the couch. The added space really allowed us to spread out a bit. This was my first balcony cabin, and I can understand the attraction, and indeed, I am spoiled. However, I'm not convinced if it's worth the extra spend. Best to book an interior cabin and hope for an upgrade. Or if you can get it cheaper, A cove balcony on deck 2 might be worth looking at. But Deck 2 is also filled with Family Harbor cabins so expect a higher than normal child to adult ratio on that floor.
