We have cruised on other Cruise Lines, however this trip was our first Viking Cruise. Our experience was first class from the time of check-in to leaving the ship. First, it is a beautiful ship, but (a) the first 2 cruises were cancelled because the ship wasn't ready and (b) not all of the venues were open when we boarded what turned out to be the 3rd cruise. It was nice being on a brand new ship but we were really disappointed on what wasn’t open especially most of Park 19 and the arena. This was my first time to cruise with Regent and was unimpressed. On the whole the service was good but felt they had a lot of new staff being trained. My trip on the Viking Star was fabulous and exceeded my expectations. The food in the World Cafe was exceptional and we ate there for dinner for 6 of our 14 nights. The ship is very poor and needs a full refit. Lots of toilets out of order, hazard tape on floor, viruses on board. Main dining room up selling of food now if you want quality.
