We did this cruise on the Joy from 3-8 to 3-15 right before all the cruise lines suspended operations. Even with the slight anxiety geared to toward the c-virus we still enjoyed this cruise immensely. Stayed in a mini suite with extended balcony, wish it would have been a little warmer (winds were cool ) so we could have utilized more often but still enjoyed the extra room. The staff and guests all went above and beyond in regards to maintaining a sanitary environment in all areas of the ship.

The staff as normal were all super accommodating and were outstanding in all services rendered. The food was overall very good to great. We didn't use the buffet very often but what we did get in there was good. Ate breakfast at Savor or Taste almost every morning and it was consistently good. The specialty restaurants we had for supper were great especially Ocean Blue.....maybe the best meal of my life. Cagney's great as always, they know how to sear a steak for sure but service was a little uneven. Really enjoyed Q Texas Smokehouse also especially the ribs....sides there were a little different but still good.

First time we had ever been on one of the larger ships and was worried on that aspect with seeing some negative reviews but it didn't feel that much larger with lines everywhere very manageable.. One aspect i thought was a design flaw is that this ship only has one theater compared to most i have been on that had two. This causes the main atrium area to be very congested and loud since they hold a lot of events in the Atrium.. Elevators were kinda sluggish and the lines led to congestion in the walkways but we try to walk steps anyway to get the exercise in so wasn't a big deal to us.
