WE chose this cruise as it went from our home port of Adelaide so was an easy decision to make.

The ship is getting on and looked tired in places but the cabin and entertainment areas were decorated very nicely. The beds were very comfortable and cabin staff were great.

We travelled with friends and family so there were 11 of us in total including an 11 year old. We had a table of 8 in traditional dining but the staff accommodated us quite easily when we all wanted to sit together in anytime dining. The food was very good in the dining room and although I do not like the buffets the others in our group enjoyed the food in the casual eateries. The pub lunch was a nice addition with traditional English food.

Port Reviews

Dunedin

We did our own excursion on a V8 Supertrike which I booked online. So much fun.

Akaroa

We did a jet boat tour which can be booked in the shop just off the ship disembarkation but I booked online before. Great scenic ride with a few hair raising turns.

Napier

We did a self guided bike tour to Elephant Hill winery where we had a fine dining lunch and were picked up by the bike company. Great day out which I booked before online.

Tauranga

Met our uncle here who lives nearby and had a great day, what a fantastic port. Beautiful.

Auckland

Lots of road works as they are putting in an underground, if you turn right when disembarking the ship you will come across the Viaduct Harbour with the fish market and loads of bars and restaurants, a nice place to spend the short time in port.
