A very nice sized cabin. Again, feeling it's age with a 2008 vintage TV and cabinets and mismatched deck chairs(one of which broke). Still, a comfortable layout.

So much to see and do. Cruise ship docks at Circular Quay where you can find a ferry or a bus to just about anywhere you want to go.

Did a private boat excursion with a roll call group to Port Arthur and Tasmania Island. It was fabulous to see the caves and cliffs.

Milford Sound was amazing!!! Wake up early to see the sail in! The Doubtful and Dusky Sounds were very nice but watch out for sand fleas!

Dusky Sound

This was billed as a bike tour of Ortago. Tour guides were very informative and personable although this excursion was more like a short bike ride sandwiched between two long van rides. Scenery was beautiful but no penguis were spotted.

FAVORITE PART OF THE TRIP!!!!! Wild Hector dolphins swam all around us! The guides, Alister, Jules, and Daz were fabulous and took incredible photos! The link to all of the photos were only $20NZ - well worth it. I think I paid more for the excursion on our own but the money goes to protect the endangered species.

Took a hike along the Snout Track which was easily accessible from the shuttle stop. The hike to the lookout took about 1.5 hours and the view is spectacular

The only good thing about this tour was seeing the thermal valley geysers and mud pools at Te Puia. We also saw Kiwi birds there which was a treat. Unfortunately it is very touristy location and was very crowded. This Custom tour was just like the ship's tour, but cheaper. They make it out to be something special by including a kiwi farm visit but when we got there the cruise ship buses started pouring in.  The seats in the van were very uncomfortable and it was a 1.5 hour journey each way.

David, our guide, was the best! So knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. He made accomodations for us so we could make our flight home. We missed a bit of the tour but saw so much of Auckland and learned so much we didn't mind. Auckland is huge and we saw everything from black sand beaches to volcanos, the city, suburbs, and everything in between. The van was comfortable and we were able to walk around and take all the pictures we wanted. We would highly recommend this operator for a day tour of Auckland!
