Travel agent recommended it for our Alaskan cruise. Embankment was the worst. Had to arrange own way to Whittier to board ship when many were shuttled from Airport. We were not on their list of eligible travelers. They could not tell us why. The dock was a mad house with people pushing and shoving to get their luggage to the Shore-man. It was raining. The climb to the boat was steep and the transition down from the walkway to the boat had a small ramp that was wet with not rails to assist seniors who could fall due to wetness and steepness, the crew stood and watched many people struggle to go down the ramp without offering to assist. An accident looking for a place to happen. For the most part the food was not acceptable, nothing like the other cruises. They had a Pizza place that had good food but the other restaurants were not good except for the ones that were additional charge. We ate at one of the steak houses on a special occasion that was good but expensive. All the Excursions was not worth the money. The whale watching one, there were too many people on board and when a whale was spotted, everyone ran over to that side of the boat and if you are not fast all you could see was the back of someones head. Took an ATV ride up a mountain to watch wild life and of course nothing was seen. After arriving back home we did our evaluation for the cruise line and gave them a poor rating. They left a message on our voicemail and said that someone from their customer relations department would call us. They never called. They did call our Travel agent and had him call us and tell us that they would not give us any refund. Funny thing, I did not ask for one. They did offer through him a free bottle of wine if we travel again on Princess Cruise lines. I told him to tell them that that will never happen.
