Cabin: Aft-Facing Balcony Stateroom

This was our 7th cruise. Our first five were on Carnival. The 6th on Harmony of the Seas. Then this one on Norwegian.

The trip was good. We relaxed. We enjoyed many parts including the free shows. The ship itself is nice and newer and clean.

The good:

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

Normal sized room for a cruise ship. Balcony wasn’t oversized, but they have a ton of furniture crammed on it. The biggest complaints we have about this room is the lack of any shade on the balcony which made it almost useless to us because it was either too hot or everything was soaking wet. The second complaint we were mostly prepared for and it wasn’t a huge deal since we travel with a loud fan, but during parties, we could definitely hear the noise from Spice H2O. It was pretty loud and invasive to the room.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Didn’t like this port much at all. They take you to a town that is just set up for tourists along the beach and they bug you to death to spend money. The beach smelled foul due to all the Seaweed which was not the fault of the people or the port.

Harvest Caye

Pool was nice. Seaweed bad invaded the beach so no one could use the beach. Hated that this private island was an extra charge for food and drink.

Roatan

Very poor part of the world but we had a great time at the Mayan Jungle and the private beach. Took a taxi tour of the island for $50 round trip all day service.
