My wife and I enjoyed our sixth cruise on an Oasis class Royal Caribbean ship. It was our first on the Harmony of the Seas. In one word: NICE. The ships have gotten progressively better with the introduction of each ship. The Harmony has incorporated several changes/improvements making the ship even better. The ship was very well maintained.
Driving and parking: We drove to Port Everglades and parked just across the driveway from terminal 18. Our arrival was greeted by a very hard, driving rain storm so the covered walkway to the terminal offered some protection. Fortunately the prime parking lot had spaces because the overflow lot, although relatively close has less covered protection.
Cabin: Our cabin was a grand suite on deck six. We enjoyed the perks that came with the suite especially expedited embarkation and disembarkation along with access to the Coastal Kitchen restaurant and suite lounge. Every cabin location has distinct advantages. We liked our deck six location. One deck down to the Royal Promenade. A short walk aft to the Boardwalk activities including Sabor, Johnny Rockets and the Aqua Theater.
The grand suite on deck six is nicely located for access to the Royal Promenade (I deck) and the Boardwalk attractions (same deck). The suite has two rooms; bedroom and a living room separated by a partition with TV sets on each side. There is a lot of storage spaces. The perks are nice, especially expedited disembarkation and the Coastal Kitchen
We parked at Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale. The primary lot for terminal 18 has a covered walkway, fortunate for us because we arrived in a torrential rain. The embarkation through the terminal was well organized and fast.
