We chose this cruise not for the ship but for the destination. Had to travel 3.5 hours from our home to Fort Lauderdale and we were nervous wrecks by the time we got there. Park & Go was GREAT! Extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly suggest using them if you need to park your vehicle. Check in was awesome. Took no time at all and we were onboard. First snafu: we requested a handicap accessible room and what we got was FAR from it. They put us in what was supposed to be a Large Ocean View cabin. If that was a large cabin, I'd hate to see what the others were. We tried to get my husbands scooter in there and there was absolutely NO WAY we could get around that room. We went to the Guest Services desk and they could not do anything due to the ship being booked full. My husbands electric scooter sat by the elevator down the hall the entire cruise. In Barbados there was supposed to be a complimentary shuttle to assist people from the ship to where the excursions meet. There was even a SIGN informing this! We asked a RC representative standing near the sign where we picked the shuttle up and she said there wasn't one. We pointed out the sign and she mumbled something and pointed in the direction where she told us to walk to. On the 3 block walk to the dock we saw a golf cart pass by and stopped it. IT WAS THE COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLE. We asked its driver to please inform the RC rep that there is indeed a shuttle.

The food was "ok". The buffet in the Windjammer offered lots of selections but the food was terrible. The eggs tasted like powdered eggs, the biscuits & gravy gravy tasted like flour. Even the food in the one and only dining room was meh. Specialty Dining is the bomb!! We went to Chops Grille for my husbands birthday and then again a second time. It was great! Giovanni's was good and Izumi was so-so. Spent most of our sea days in the Solarium pool which was awesome except for people hogging the chairs even though there are signs posted everywhere no to. The Park Café was a nice alternative to the Windjammer and the stuffy dining rooms. One problem we encountered the entire cruise was 2 younger couples hogging the stairs and railings going into the pool. And when we asked them to move they did so but with an attitude. They also brought a personal radio into the pool (area) and had it playing loud music we didn't care for. We asked the Life Guard on duty to say something and ONLY 1 TIME HE DID. This continued through the entire cruise. The entertainment was meh, too. DO NOT go to the Cinema Theater if you want to see a movie. Cramped, only seats 40 people and the sound system is lacking terribly. Our room steward Leonel was great. We had fresh in our bucket every day and the room was immaculate. We'll do RC again despite this cruise's shortcomings.

Cabin Review

Cabin 2N

EXTREMELY SMALL // Hard to take a shower & bend over to wash your feet without having to open the doors & stick your head out. You could sit on the toilet & brush your teeth at the same time. Sink is border line useless except for washing your hands in.
