We chose this cruise because we have always wanted to sail out of and back into New York. The itinerary seemed to be just what we wanted, as another of our "wants" list is to visit the Kennedy Space Centre in Port Kennedy.
The embarkation process was awful. The ship was 2 hours late getting in (10AM) so when we arrived at the appointed time of 11AM previous passengers were still disembarking. We were directed to a queue (40 minutes) to check our baggage, which we did not have because the transfer bus driver had already done so. Next we waited for 50 minutes to be security screened, and then joined another seemingly endless wait (70 minutes) to be checked in. Then we waited in an area with insufficient seating for everyone until boarding began at 2:45PM. It was after 3PM (the official sailing time) before we were boarded.
On the plus side, because we had waited so long, our luggage was already at the cabin. On the minus side, our sail cards were wrong, mine was linked to my wife's photo and vice versa.
Small but comfortable. Cleaned very well each day. Balcony was awful, peeling white paint chips flaking off every day onto the floor and furniture.
Bathroom was acceptable, and cleaned very well each day.
We stayed a few days after the cruise for shopping and broadway shows.
Went ashore just for visiting, expected it to be more developed. Found it to be quite dirty and littered.
