This cruise did not compare with the first cruise we took. There where some hiccups that could have been avoided with more training and better over site by supervisors or managers.
We are experienced cruisers in having taken 32 cruises, 30 of those with Carnival.
Cape Canaveral has it down to a fine science in the boarding of passengers. They are quick in getting your luggage unloaded from your vehicle and getting you through security to getting your check in.
The balcony cabin is a normal cabin. It is located under the Lido dining area and is noisy all times of the day and night with what sounds like rolling carts and people running. Our cabin steward was pleasant but was not as efficient as we have had on past cruises. He seemed to have a problem remembering tings we asked for until he was reminded.
Easy port to get to and well organized in the boarding process.
Shops were right off the ship and didn't feel pressured to buy or unsafe.
Shopped in the area off the ship. Need to be careful of aggressive tour people.
Enjoyed the shopping experience off of the ship.
Walked into Old San Juan and saw a lot of damage from the hurricanes in September.
