First time on Star Princess, second cruise with Princess, probably the last. The ship is fast heading toward being in poor condition. We found buckets positioned around catching water leaks throughout the ship. Wish they had a bucket behind my chair in the Capri dining room, we sit down to the aroma of a strong musty smell. It didn't take long to understand why when water started dripping on my back while seated at the table. This is the same dining room they earlier had refused to allow me into on formal night because I was wearing dark colored pants made of a denim type material. I guess I should be glad they turned me away because I'd really be upset had water dripped on my really fancy duds. The assistant waiter made a hard drive on me to purchase a premium coffee after I asked for coffee, I never got the coffee. He didn't stop with his drive for me to purchase something, he then proceeded to entice me to purchase some type of liquor. We don't drink. He finally left us. Still no coffee.

There is a continual push from the moment you get onboard until you get off to get into your pockets. A lot of the activities are centered around selling you something. Nearly every sitting place on the ship has staff ready to pounce on you trying to sell something. We got completely weary with all this by the second and third day. A whole week of it nearly drives you out of your mind. The presentations often contain off color references to something sexual or at least to private areas of the body. This is totally unnecessary.

The security staff got very rude with me while coming back on board because I forgot to take my phone out of my pocket. You are in a very tight space and trying, with people pushing on you from behind and the security people trying to prod you forward like cattle, to remember everything. We are all human beings even if some don't act like it I guess. You give some people a little authority and it goes to their head. Read more
