We have been on 21 cruises and Allure met all our expectations and more. First, you never feel you are on board with 6000 people. At 225,000 tons it is the largest ship afloat and everything is spread out. A US Air Craft Carrier is 100,000 tons. Our favorite dinner was at Giovanni's Table. Yes it was an up charge and worth every penny. The only thing missing was someone playing a violin. The Rising Tde Bar was the most unusual bar, rising three floors from the Promanade into Central Park with over 11,000 plants. Our favorite hanging out was the British pub Bow & Stern right in the middle do the Paromanade so you can see the parades and people watch. Say hello to Adriannie for us. He's the magic act, juggler, comedian, bartender extrodinare. Tell him flashlight Mike said Hi. He will know.
We seen most the shows. Chicago was great, followed by the Comedy Club and Ocean Aria the diving show. Flow Rider, the wave machine, was even fun to watch. We sat there for over an hour watching people crash and get wet. They have two along with two rock climbing walls, miniature golf, etc. Visually the entire ship is AH! inspiring, with several different distinct areas, the Boardwalk, Promenade, Central Park, Solarium, Sports, etc. This ship by far has two of the best hosts, Cruise Director Ken Rush and Capt Johnny. They are both the most inguaging personalities who are always around and make the entire cruise. We shall return. Loved it.
While the Allure has some pretty cool rooms overlooking Central Park and the Boardwalk, we preferred the Ocean View.
