Ok here we go:
Embarkation: This was a mess..only because all three ship that docked that morning were late. First we had to find the person with the tags for our bags....The long shoreman had lost them...After 45 minutes they found them. Then we sat in a large room because the ships had to be cleared of the prior passengers..that lasted about 2 hours...Finally after getting pre-cleared thru U.S. Customs (which is a good thing because you don't do it again for the rest of the cruise)we were on the boat at about 1:30. We headed up to the buffet...
The food.... The buffet is ok...It's not bad in the morning, but so so the rest of the time. But hey it's the only thing open mid-morning. Windows is great, the garden room was ok....Now the alternative (pay) restaurants were outstanding. Le Bistro was awesome...The mushroom soup is great. Shogun had very good sushi and Maxims my husband was able to get a 1 1/2 lbs lobster for only $5 more than the price. Also every night between 5:30 - 6:00 the pay restaurants were 2 for 1 pricing. Now some of the meals (i.e. the lobster) was not included in this, but they did take 1/2 price off mine because I didn't go fancy smanchy lobster...
