Boring Cruise

My wife and I have cruised with Celebrity many times but this was our first time sailing on the Silhouette. It was a major disappointment comparing it to the other trips with Celebrity. The food in the main dinning room was marginal at best and not once in the 15 that we ate in the main dinning room did our dinner arrive hot. the meals were warm at best. Portion sizes have been reduced to ...

This was our first time on the Silhouette and I have to say it was our favorite! From the start to the finish we had a wonderful time. The food was very good. Went to two speciality restaurants and we enjoyed them also. Best pastries in the coffee shop by far! The service was excellent. It amazes me how the staff can maintain such a high standard of service. The ship was very ...

We chose this cruise after doing significant research on several transatlantic crossings. This was our first transatlantic and we loved the idea of starting in Rome and making stops in the Western Med. Amazing ports including Rome, Florence, Barcelona, Palma and Tenerife. We chose to do the shore excursions provided by Celebrity (something we normally don't do) because we were not familiar with ...

Overall, this was a very enjoyable trip. This was only our 3rd-ever cruise, the first two being on the Carnival Glory in the Caribbean. So we have only a little to compare to. My wife and I seek value for our travel dollar, so we did not take any optional drink packages or pay for the optional restaurant meals. We organized our own shore excursions, renting a car on two islands, to do our own ...

Our first TA and our second trip on the S Class ships. We absolutely enjoyed our time on the Silhouette. We stayed in Aqua but dined mostly in other venues including the MDR. The main dining room offered excellent service and excellent food. Blu is always top notch service. Qsine was so much fun, we dined there three nights. Tuscan Grill remains our favorite. Sushi on 5 was always ...

Overall wonderful experience. Comfortable ship with excellent entertainment options, delicious food, and good value for money. A couple of comments on dining... I rarely saw anyone at the Sushi at 5 restaurant, which used to be a free option. As well, we didnt' see the point in spending extra money on the specialty dining options since our regular dining room meals were already excellent. We ...

Cabin lacked many things that were to be included in this class. Afternoon "snacks" we're very poor. Had terrible time with booking a table for dinner in anytime dinning. Never had such a difficult experience as this. Definitely not worth the Conciege level. Cruise director,Sue , was very good and brought good entertainers on board. However the Singers and Dancers main Shows were not very ...

We cruised on the Celebrity Silhouette on a back to back cruise, which afforded us 27 nights on this great ship. We were in Aqua Class and ate in Blu every night, where the staff was outstanding along with the service. Our waiters, Samsul and Mertha were the best we have ever experienced. The staff everywhere on this ship was outstanding in every way from the bar waiters, to the bartenders, the ...

Chose this cruise because another couple we met on a previous cruise advised us that they had booked on this cruise and invited us to join them. We were most disappointed with the goings on the Silhouette. The Accounting was awful, we had paid for a Dinner Wine package and the Somellier had no intimation of this. He most graciously advised us that our credit was good and for us to go ahead and ...

This one the best yet - a big part to Cruise Critic and the Roll Call. Signed up for two excursions I learned about through the Roll Call. Weather prevented us from stopping for the France excursion, but, the tour in Mallorca was WONDERFUL - a small friendly group, a van, great tour guide and time for shopping, food tasting and stops throughout the Island. This was my 3rd cruise on the ...
