Disappointing catering

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

There was a very good deal for penthouse suites for Voyagers return to cruising, so we booked. It turned out Regent had double booked and offered us an even better deal on a concierge suite, we took up the offer... We flew from Heathrow arriving in Rome rather late in the evening and were transferred to the Westin Excelsior, well our room was enormous with a separate sitting room furnished ...

Great ship, great staff, horrible weather

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

the ship was very good, and we especially enjoyed the quality of the food in the main dining room. The weather, less so. We boarded in 80 knot winds (really) that tore an Azamara ship off its moorings that almost struck us. Our cabin was spacious, and the closet space was a pleasant surprise. They have an Illy coffee maker, and should put out instructions to avoid messing it up the first few times ...

Seven Seas Explorer almost lives up to the hype

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Chose this cruise (Rome to Miami) for the ship and the TransAtlantic experience. The food, cabin staff and dining staff service were absolutely first rate. This was our first "all-inclusive" cruise experience and we found it very relaxing not to always be reaching for your cabin card. The entertainment was generally above average, although the magician did a juvenile routine that clearly ...

Enjoyable Cruise - But Not Six Star Luxury

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

My partner and I, with friends, just completed a 10 night Med cruise on the Seven Seas Voyager; we had a lovely time and saw so many beautiful sights. We are fortunate; we have taken more than 25 cruises over the years and really enjoy the smaller luxury ships; in the past 10 years, we have travelled almost exclusively with Silversea and enjoy their small ship ultra luxury product. We heard very ...

In reviewing our recent cruise on the Explorer I will no doubt repeat what others have previously mentioned but I believe those opinions should be reinforced. Let me begin by saying the cruise was enjoyable mainly because of the excellent service. I was less impressed by the decor and layout of the ship itself. One reviewer described the decor as "exuberant"; a description I wholeheartedly ...

Brand New; the Best Regent Ship Yet

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Beautiful new ship with huge public spaces. I can imagine easily doing a world cruise on this ship. We were originally in a G2, but our TA boarded the ship before us and thought we would not be happy with that category. We usually o the basic suites on Navigator, voyager, and Mariner, but we do find the Mariner ones a little small. The G2 was listed as one square foot larger than the basic ...

Disappointed 2

My wife and I have a preference for smaller ships and although experienced cruisers have yet to explore the 'luxury' market. The small ships are rapidly disappearing from the mainstream providers and so time for a change. Our first foray into the field was Star Pride last year and of coarse any comparison is mainly against that experience. On both occasions our accommodation was a centrally ...

Excellent Experience

I recently returned from a 10-day Mediterranean Rome-Venice cruise. It met all my expectations and was a delightful and memorable experience. I have only a few complaints and none of them ruined my vacation. The best part of the trip was the service. I wanted for nothing during the trip. My cabin steward brought me everything I needed. You could have anything delivered by room service. If ...

We had been looking to book a Regent cruise for a while but couldn't get the dates to suit us but with a few weeks to spare (with OH available) we managed to secure this cruise. This was our 6th cruise but first time with Regent and we found everything as good as advertised. The ship itself was a good size and not too many passengers so you could always get a seat wherever you wanted ...

My wife and I just returned from our tenth cruise with Regent, seventh on the Seven Seas Mariner. We have never sailed with another line, so we have no comparison. As to the ship, crew and cruise, it was fabulous. We have seen very minor cutbacks in service, but not in quality. We were again, treated like royalty. The dining room waiters quickly learned our preferences and names, and treated us ...
