Sailed with Star Princess in 2018 to Alaska and had a amazing time. This time around was the worst ever. Both cruises were land/sea tours. To start princess raised prices on excursions and you got less for your money. Salmon bake in Fairbanks did not include desert and tea/coffee as stated in description. In 2018 it was all you can eat and this time it was one small portion of side and main with ...
Princess Air is unreliable unresponsive and has abominable customer service. We waited 4 days to get our return flight straightened out. Guest Services contacted Princess Air repeatedly and it took 4 days to get answers. Even then we didn’t get the plane seats that we needed until after departing the ship and contacting the airline ourselves.
The busses used for Denali land tour were not ...
Thought we would be on a well-prepared fun cruise which turned into a nightmare because of staff shortages, false promises made and changed every day, no workable plans for Covid outbreak and general mistreatment of infected patients. In my wife's room she could not get phones to dial. Room service for food was a joke. They were late getting meals, and the order was never correct. All the ...
Our even dinner experience was terriable. We have cruised this ship several times and really enjoyed it. However this time the food was not up to par, the service was awful. If you wanted drinks you waited for ever to get them. I always look forward to lobster night and get two. Got my first one, over cooked, cold and had to get up and go ask for the butter for it. The bought me another lobster ...
Princess Cruises had a great reputation, and our travel agent recommended them for Alaska. Things didn't turn out as expected:
1. During the land portion of our trip to Alaska, we stayed in three different inns, one of which was the Mount McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. We had many problems opening our room door with our room key at the lodge, for which we asked for assistance from hotel ...
Heard great things about Alaska Cruises and read that Princess was the best cruise line to take. The actual cruising was great but everything else about Princess' support staff is the worst of ANY organization I have had the misfortune of dealing with. I would rather pull every one of my fingernails out one at a time than to ever deal with Princess support staff ever again. I can guarantee that I ...
The destination was great, saw some great glaciers, some decent ports, the food in the normal dining was average at best, the specialty restaurants were decent. The stateroom was fairly nice. All in all the cruising portion was average to good. But absolutely the worst guest services I have ever seen for any business this side of criminal organizations. We were given conflicting information from ...
We were so looking forward to this cruise as it had been so long but ended up so disappointed. This was the first time travelling as Elite.
Cons-food was terrible. Lobster was fishy tasting and salty. Beef tenderloin was tough and could not eat. Desserts were boring and almost the same for the 14 days. Up stairs in the Market Place 98% of the food was cold. In the dining room 97% of the food ...
My wife and I were on the Referenced sailing from Anchorage to Vancouver. While the amenities and service were ok, the itinerary compared to the marketing materials were very deceiving. We were looking forward to our first cruise vacation but came away very disappointed. Princess hasn't had the courtesy to respond to this issue I presented to them in writing (Princess if you are out ...
Wow. Horrible. Bad food, bad service as a simple summary. Lots of whales sighted though (both at sea and at the buffet). Comically bad waiters sticking our menus into our food. Several meals in the dining room were not really edible so had to chase that meal with a visit to the buffet in the hopes of something better than “hot dog pineapple salad”. (No, I didn’t make that up).
The ...
