This was the worst travel experience of my life. It was our first time on a cruise and certainly the last with Grand Princess. This cruise is suitable for 60 year olds and above only. The cruise itself is extremely outdated! I wouldn’t even say it could pass as a family cruise. 1 of the 3 stops they made over the 2 weeks was an industrial area. We even did a tour and didn’t even see much at all. ...
Positives: (1) we were on board within a half hour of arrival to the the pier. (2) my dh and i won 2 trivia contests which had actual prizes-bottles of champagne (3) the princess app on the phone was easy to navigate. (4) dravuni, fiji cruise port is outstanding and saved this cruise from being a zero.
Negatives: (1) no ac in our cabin for 3 days in the hot south pacific. Impossible to have a ...
We left our room late on the first full day of sailing which left us in a bit of a scramble to find somewhere to eat. After walking around the ship we couldn’t find anywhere that wasn’t going to take forever to get something. I asked the staff for assistance in finding something I could eat right away due to a medical condition I was starting to not feel very well and was basically told that’s all ...
Never again, poor quality food, bad service, rubbish comedy, no BIG name comedians which I should have guessed when booking as they did not say who would be headlining. Never have I had such a small balcony cabin and have cruised several other cruise lines. DO NOT purchase internet, you will be lucky to have it a full day at a time.
Very boring cruise and could not wait to get off.
I have ...
Resilient Lady Mermaiden Voyage Australia
Feedback
Most disappointing cruise ever!!!
1. 3 hours wait to board cold and in pain, not offered any food or water either.
2. I had envisioned big fireworks and big celebrations onboard to mark the mermaiden voyage, something memorable and yet there was nothing we got a towel, bag and key ring, marketing items not memories I was hoping ...
Cruise fell short of the advertised experience. The only highlight was Hobart and disembarkation, with no exciting embarkation as portrayed in the ads. Passengers found themselves wandering aimlessly or resorting to reading books for six days.
Entertainment options were disappointing. There was no roving entertainment, and most activities incurred additional costs, unbeknownst to us. The shows, ...
We sailed on the Queen Elizabeth over Xmas and New Year. Part of our package included transfers from the airport. This was the start of the issues. There was no communication about where to meet or who to meet once we get off our flight at Melbourne Airport. We were stuffed around with the transfers to the ship.
Once onboard we headed straight to the kids' club with our six-year-old, to ensure ...
The ship (Pacific Explorer) itself was old and dated but overall in fair condition.
We booked an the cheap internal room - our plan was to only use it to sleep in and be using the "extensive" facilities at other times.
The staff were very friendly
As with all cruise lines they offered a combination of included restaurants and specialty ones. This ship however did not have a communial ...
We have traveled on over 20 cruise over time and we have never been treated or had such a bad room / service from management ever. First the room flooded around 7.30 pm after being told they will vacuum and change the bedding with water still leaking from the roof i requested for the fifth time to be moved to another room they agread at 11.30 pm that was was not fun. Next day no contact from any ...
Booking: Booking was reasonably smooth. We weren't allocated our cabin until the day before which was fine. The day before setting sail, we were told we weren't cruising the Fiords of NZ due to biosecurity issues. We accepted that and P&O credited all passengers $50 to spend on board for that day of cruising. With the pre-booking process of listing dietary requirements or allergies, there was only ...
