We wanted to see a part of the world that is not easily accessible and also beautiful. The few days at sea allowed us a very good opportunity to explore and enjoy the various amenities provided on the ship. All the crew were tremendously friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed visiting the spa with the large heated jacuzzi, steam, sauna and snow grotto. The fitness center offered all the equipment needed for a good workout at any time. The food offerings were excellent - I needed to be a bit careful at the buffet to avoid occasional accidental bumps and spills. Shore excursions were mostly excellent and some offered great experiences to visit with the Sami and learn about their way of life. The entertainment on board was fun and well-suited for my taste in pop/soft rock music. Overall this Viking Ocean cruise was a pleasure and we are already looking ahead to future trips.
