Chose this cruise in order to visit many of the famous sights around the Mediterranean we had long wanted to see. In this regard, the cruise met our every expectation, although we do wish we had added additional days before and after our cruise to better explore and enjoy both Barcelona and Venice. We think an additional day or two "at sea" (there was only one) would be great in order to improve the relaxation benefits of the cruise vacation, as the consecutive number of days in ports of call detracted from the "vacation" experience. Another suggestion for improvement would be a greater variety of on-board music entertainment and activity options in order to keep the guest entertainment "fresh" and interesting over the length of the cruise. We enjoyed all of the ship's dining options and found the ship's dining service staff (and all the ship's staff for that matter) to be the friendliest and supportive of any cruise line we have ever sailed with. The weather during our cruise - mid October - was incredible. Also enjoyed the fact that this seemed to be an adults-only cruise, adding to the relaxing nature of the on-board experience.
The cabin was comfortable and the bathroom very roomy. Only thing we didn't like compared to staterooms on other cruise lines like Princess is that the wardrobe closet is located next to the bed instead of across from the bathroom, and has interior lights triggered by motion sensor. This made it difficult to prevent the light from waking my spouse if I wanted to rise early in the morning to head to the gym. I soon learned to grab what clothes I needed the night before and hang them in the bathroom.
