We chose the November 8, 2019 9 day cruise just my wife and I. We have cruised many times before (many different cruise lines) and understand things don't always go as you expect or would like, but Norwegian should be rethinking where they are going and review how their management team performed. From ridiculously long lines on day one to a tender process that could have been better managed by a school crossing guard. Food on deck 15 was basically the same stuff every day. The other "included" restaurants had pretty much the same main fare in each of them the same day..... so what is the reason for offering a choice? No matter if you had dinner reservations or not, you still had to wait in line to eat. Nobody likes to wait, right? The upscale "pay" restaurants were so expensive, most regular folks like us can't eat there. Frustrated one night we tried the French restaurant as we were not happy so far with the others, and the food was not good. I ordered a drink and it took almost 30 mins to get it. And when you finally did get it, expect between $10-$16 per drink! $27 for a glass of wine? Are you kidding me? (They knew I was unhappy and comped my drink) Obviously they are making it more unpleasant to eat in the standard "free" restaurants and forcing people to chose to pay extra $ for something we used to expect to be included on a cruise. I don't think the direction is correct, but I am just a lowly consumer I guess. The waiters seemed to do more walking and running back and forth instead of servicing their tables. Most of the time we had to ask for salt/pepper shakers, very little butter on the table, little coffee cream available. Ran out of milk every day. All the while "managers" walked around trying to look important. Played poker every day and not once did the Casino manager come by and offer comps. You can't even get a bottle of water without paying for it! The rake on the table was 10%! We asked to have the stakes changed to 1/3 from 3/5 but they wouldn't even consider it. The other music/piano/juggler entertainment was good. Hard working hourly people were polite, the room was clean. Overall the ship is beautiful. Management really needs to review and better understand consumer expectations. Did not do any of the excursions due to the fact we have been to most ports before (and the cost!) The ports were so crowded with the same old T-shirts shops you wanted to get back on the ship as quickly as possible. Heaven forbid you have to go through the tender process more than once. Looks like we'll not chose Norwegian again any time soon. Sorry for the negative review, but hopefully someone will use my opinion to improve future sailings for others!
