This was out 9th cruise with NCL (40th overall). Other reviews for this cruise were bad and deservedly so. There are some areas where I disagree and I will state them here.
DINING: This was a bit hit and miss. We thought the paid specialty restaurants were excellent with great food and service (we generally ate around 5-5:30). We went to Cagneys (3), Teppanyaki (3), La Cucina (2) and Moderno (1). The Taste and Savor dining rooms were OK with rather strange menus. Due to that and the lines (despite reservations) we actually used the Buffett more than the dining rooms. O'Sheehans was OK, nothing special. The service in the dining rooms was slow!!! The breakfast buffet was very good with the afternoon/dinner being more typical buffet food.
Entertainment: We thought the production show (Burn the Floor) and Million Dollar Quartet were excellent. The headliner (singer and violinist) were also excellent. Ship entertainers were very good! Despite having reservations there were long lines for the shows (early). If you didn't get there at least a half hour before showtime, you may not sit together. We did not attend the paid shows.
