firstly who said their is no ballroom dancing on the pearl? almost every night we had at least 45 minutes of ballroom music either with live bands or recorded music in the spinnacre lounge as well as opportunities to do some latin and ballroom in bliss and modern lounge

this ship is the most friendly I have ever been on to date which starts with being sung to in the mornings by mr washy washy and his sidekick elvis at breakfast but extends throughout the ship whereby all the staff treat you like you are old friends they havnt seen for years

would like to say a special thank you to:-

Santorini

beautifull island , we took the cable car upto the town which is very pretty and great for shopping , then walked down the hundreds of steps with all the donkeys back to the ship

Rome (Civitavecchia)

had two night pre cruise hotel in Rome , saw all the sites Sistine chapel , st pauls basilica

, roman forum , Pantheon , trevi fountain , Spanish steps , colesseum

beautifull city , had a wonderfull time

Naples

we took a ferry to Ishcia island , wonderfull beach and very pretty shopping area , great for present buying, prices very reasonable ,we had wonderfull Napoli pizza , 2 large beers , 2 cokes for £15 euros , great value !

Florence (Livorno)

took the train to Florence and spent the day , could easily spend a week here as so much to see , and again great for shopping with huge outdoor market

Kotor

kotor is the most pretty walled city , once inside you can explore the labyrinth of cobbled streets with all the shops , bars and resteraunts , very beautifull

Mykonos

we walked to the bus stop and the took a bus to one of the many beautifull beaches , spent the day on the beach , on our return to the old port we walked a short walk to see the famous windmills and the town

Taormina (Messina)

we spent the day in Messina which has a wonder full musical animated clock tower , great for shopping but other than that , if we had more time we would have gone to Taormina

maybe next time

Dubrovnik

we have been to Dubrovnik before so we took a ferry to lokrum island

This is a very pretty place , it has a black sea swimming lake , stunning walks with views across to Dubrovnik , and yes the Iron throne from Game of Thrones . You can also swim in the sea here by diving off the rocks
