We wanted to visit Ireland and Iceland, but to our surprise the favourite port stop was Lerwick, Shetland Islands.
This was our first major cruise and we enjoyed all of it. Met very interesting people from all over the world, who shared their expertise with us.
Food was excellent and we used the main dining room almost every night.
Port side. Great decision as we were treated to spectacular views of Iceland as the ship progressed up the east coast of the island.
Plenty of storage space for a 12 night cruise. Kettle provided in room.
Room was a short distance from The Hideaway, which I used for morning coffee and for asylum on bad weather sea days as the cabin was cleaned.
Lovely green city with beautiful parks and a good variety of places to eat.
Loved it. Sweet town with good museums. No need to go further
Walked 7 km through the town to a small museum that featured the history of the development of Akureyri.
Needed more time at the Parliament
Loved it.
Best place for shopping on the entire cruise was at the Lerwick tourist centre.
Cleanest toilets in Europe. Maybe even in the world!
Friendly people
