South America cruise excellent. Ship old but very good. Lots of activities on sea days. Trips expensive but easy to make your own way. Food very good. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Many solo travellers. Entertainment very good. Opted for drinks package which turned out to be an excellent choice.. disappointed not to visit some places that required a tender but you have to respect the captain's safety decisions. I would definitely hope to do another cruise on Marco polo. Although it is not as luxurious as most ships it was definitely the best I had been on for activities on sea days. There were also excellent guest speakers. People were grumbling about price paid but it depends whether you opt to book early or late and shop around different travel agents. We were on a dining table for ten but you can also eat in the history were food was very good
