I chose this cruise for the intimate connection it gave me to places along the Mekong River in Cambodia. The Jahan is a beautiful boat and intimate in all respects, but privacy is yours in the lovely cabins. The crew were so warm and attentive, this was a special exploration of the Mekong River, the Delta and the people of Cambodia. Cruising close to shore or anchoring for specific forays into villages, homes, monasteries, and temples/historical sites gave me the opportunity to learn firsthand and take wonderful photos to remember the experience! NatGeo/Lindblad have nurtured wonderful relationships along the river and give the traveler opportunities to see life close at hand that few going it alone may have the ability to do. A big help were the earplugs and transmitters that allowed us to wander sites and not be en masse, but hear all the information being shared by the guides. Their insights and depth of knowledge were exceptional! Occasional entertainment on board brought the culture and traditions to our evening entertainment. Highly recommend this river cruise!
