This was our 9th cruise and the Reflection stands out as one of the best ships we have been on, but I think its also the newest at only 4 years old.
We booked a standard class cabin and had the classic drinks package and certainly had no complaints with the cabin, dining or service that came with this class. We only dined in the standard dining room, Opus and self serve cafe on deck 14, Oceanview, but generally very good and lots of choice. A small criticism is that Opus didn't put on any local cuisine, but Oceanview always seemed to have something special on. Sushi even made a welcome return at one point having been removed when Sushi on 5 arrived. For me, great food, great choice. Other cruises have had things like afternoon tea, chocolate fests, BBQ, but for me, they were't missed. Breakfast in the dining room is always nice on slower morning.
Entertainment I thought was generally pretty good, from the theater to the acts and music playing around the ship. Not always to our taste, but lots of choice.
Great cabin. Great shower in the bathroom.
Spent THREE days in Rome before hand ... and still pushed for time.
We have been to Messina / Taormina before, so just got off the ship and had a wonder about town.
We have been here before. Pretty little port, but not much to do.
