MSC sinfonia, shambles .... Before I start this was not the first cruise I have done with MSC albeit the first on sinfonia. The holiday started poorly and did not get much better. Flight into Genoa was not able to land so 40 ish passengers were flown to Pisa and told by MSC a coach will be waiting to transfer us to Genoa and that the ship would wait for us. Wrong..... Two hours in Pisa air port and no communication no coach ..... Late on told coaches now arrived but ship has sailed so told we will be put up in a hotel in Pisa. Some passengers who had not booked the full package with MSC were told they had to sort them selves out !!! In the hotel a poor food and drinks package laid on. Told to be up at 5 am to catch a flight from Genoa to Rome then to change flights to Malaga where we will all be put up for another night! Again then told another coach trip down to Gibraltar. No food or drink offered from 5 am till 8 pm that night when we finally got on the ship which was late getting in! When on ship reception staff was not aware of our arrival ... No appologies ... When on board decided to go to buffet which at that time seemed a little sparce . Not asked once through the meal if we required a drink. A couple of days in we find out this was the maden voyage after the ship had a " cut and shut" the observation made was 600 ish more passengers added but no more staff and the staff on board required more training. The cabin staff were excellent room kept spotless ... Dining room staff again excellent . Coffee bar staff very poor ,service was disgusting. Buffet service poor think this was to lack of staff. And reception staff very unhelpful. The group of 40 or so people who missed the ship were offerd 40 Euros as compensation which was an insult if I'm honest. Will never again cruise with MSC and recommend others think twice .
Fantastic perhaps a little cramped but spotless and well maintained
