MSC is my preferred cruise line but I was let down by this ship and some of the staff. I enjoy a smoke with my cocktails and also a chair to sit on but there is very limited smoking areas and sitting areas on this ship. On the back deck the chairs and tables were available to sit on about 2 or 3 hours the entire cruise. They had them stacked in the corner. The only smoking area inside the ...

First of all, it was a new launched ship and out first cruise, so we thought to begin with a new and large one. We got a balcony cabin, it was very, very nice but we didn't spend much time on it. Only few minutes in the morning, in the evenings when it starts to sail you are maybe at dinner and after that it's pitch black outside. And very windy too. The ship is huge and spectacular. The food ...

I loved almost everything about MSC. My other experience of a cruise is Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas. I would say the major differences in US and European cruises are the food and entertainment. Royal Caribbean had more food outlets but much lower quality. MSC food from the free dining was stellar even at 1 in the morning. The formal dining rooms were s good standard, meals didn't take too ...

Told 4 crew about the ordeal including reception who told us "Management has been informed". But nobody ever came to see us or even check if we were ok. Sent an email to customer service department highlighting that this was totally appalling, but they didn't see it that way - "I’m sorry to hear that you felt a lack of support from staff on board. Unfortunately, after the local police have been ...

This was our first cruise, and whilst we booked it when we were a little tipsy, so glad we did. This was a holiday to celebrate my 40th... This was a Barcelona round trip. We stayed in the city the night before and had an extra night once we left the ship. Barcelona is a great city I've been to several times before so would recommend that. Embarkation was a breeze. As we had Aurea ...

My husband and I went on this cruise ship with another couple for a "babymoon" vacation. Last hurrah before a baby. A little background on us, I am 26 years old, my husband 28 and we have been on a princess cruise and celebrity cruise both of which were an incredible experience. This was our first cruise of Europe and we were excited to experience it on a European Cruise Line. We picked this boat ...

Well after 73 cruises I can finally say never again on MSC. My pros were : Embarkation in Barcelona and disembarkation in Barcelona Our wait staff in main dining room (I use the term dining room loosely) Our cabin steward was good. Ship was beautiful. Our cabin was ok too, although closet placement was a poor design. Cons: Generally unfriendly staff on board (language ...

After reading some of the reviews, we were so pleasantly surprised to find all the staff were really very good! If you take the time to exchange pleasantries, they certainly remember you and are happy to engage with you. We were amazed at the different nationalities of all the staff and the fact they could easily interact with guests in several languages! Impressive, compared to our uni-lingual ...
