Great cruise, especially for experienced cruisers.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Paradise

My history: 5 cruises. 2 disney (small and large), 1 carnival (sensation, tugboat class), 1 norwegian (Epic, large class). Having cruised from ports of Canaveral and Miami, large and small ships, i feel like I have a good grasp of Caribbean cruising including Cozumel. When we booked this cruise, we knew what we booked, we booked an inexpensive small cruise ship (for today), with a single ...

30th Anniversary w/ Heart on Carnival Live!

First time on the Paradise and we weren't disappointed! Our first encounter with the crew was at the Guest Services desk where we were helped by Caesar. We had not been able to get cash before boarding and didn't know our PIN #'s for our CCs. Caesar noticed that we had paid for our concert tix and a massage with a CC when making our reservations and he said he was able to refund that to us in ...

Birthday Celebration for 20

We have been on 15+ cruises, several on Carnival so there were no surprises. We hosted 20 cruisers in a group to celebrate a birthday. The Ship – Old, but well maintained. Elevators were frequently out of service. Occasionally for crew use but often it looked like they were trying to save electricity. Atrium elevators were the worst. Trivia games and musical entertainment were held near the ...

Let me preface by saying that I have been on 3+ cruises with Carnival and about 3 with Royal Carribbean. With that said, I was deeply disappointed with the condition of the ship and the fact that we were not credited for pictures. This was a small group of 7 that went and we were supposed to have a ten dollar credit on our bills towards any photo purchases. Unfortunately no credits were any ...

although this was my 5th cruise on carnival it was my children's first. I also took my girlfriend and her 2 sons which was their first cruise as well. after reading reviews about the carnival paradise I was really nervous that this trip would not live up to the hype. because of the week that we had to go and the port that was convenient for us this was the trip we were taking. I saw a lot of bad ...

Tired, Smoky Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

I sailed on the Paradise in 2002 when it was advertised as the only non-smoking ship of its size on the seas. Unfortunately that is no longer true and, as has been said in other reviews, smoke can be smelled on numerous decks of the ship. Deck 9 aft of the Casino is terrible for non-smokers. If you are on Deck 10 - Lido - after 10:00pm the only place to get a beverage is the smoking bar which ...

Carnival Paradise; Nice Cruise, Great Price

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

Had a relaxing 5 night cruise last week. Started in the PORT OF TAMPA with easy drop off luggage at port, hubby chose to park in Garage about a block away. Cost was $75.00 for the entire week- covered with security/great deal in my opinion. Average shows on the ship- Appeared the guys/men in the show were much older dancers/singers than the girls that were in the entertainment staff. We had ...

Carnival is fun & relaxing but TERRIBLE food!!!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

Just got back from a 5 day Carnival cruise. This is my 3rd time on Carnival, either the food got worse over the past few years or I somehow forgot how terrible it was. The boat itself was fine, good size shower, nice staff, plenty of spots to sit & relax, great room attendant, free room service (with limited menu). However...when I'm on vacation I enjoy good food. If you enjoy going to Golden ...

One Problem After Another

Worst Carnival cruise my wife and I have ever experienced. Economy interior cabin. No frig. No bathroom retractable clothesline for wet clothes. One (1) outlet in bedroom, which malfunctioned on a port call and delayed our departure for 2 hours, (good thing we didn't have an excursion planned). Garbage room service coffee. Literally!! After drinking coffee that had a bit odd taste discovered a ...

We picked this cruise because it was close to home and cheaper than doing a vacation with hotel, etc. The staff was wonderful. Our cabin steward, Melinda was so sweet and our waiter in the MDR, Oscar plus his assistant Valentin were very attentive and remembered our names and preferences. We had an Inside cabin on deck 6. The room was as expected, but the shower was larger than normal. ...
