Cruise review for MSC Meraviglia 19-day transatlantic cruise from Barcelona Spain to Port Canaveral (9/24/2022 to 10/13/2022) Inside stateroom #8073. Note: we only ate in the Market place buffet because the service in the dining rooms are so slow and the food choices in the dining room are very limited. Note that we spoke to many passengers on this very long cruise that agree with our ...

A fall color cruise was a bucket list item. Unfortunately a hurricane stripped trees of fall colors in many ports. Prince Edward Island was damaged. It closed on our first leg but opened for the second. We booked and enjoyed a Green Gables tour even though damage was evident. Tree damage (almost as bad in Halifax and Sidney) didn't keep us from enjoying Alexander Graham Bell's house and the ...

I’ve been following the reviews here of MSC Meraviglia since summer 2017, and have been quite worried about our cruise at the end of February. That was not nescessary. In general there is very little to complain about, but also not so much that really impressed me. My overall rating is a 4- (or 3,5 stars of 5). I’ve cruised once before, on NCL Breakaway in January 2014, which as I remember ...

Overall, a disappointment

Our first criteria was the itinerary, in particular, Palermo and Malta. We had previously visited Marseille, Genoa and Civitavecchia ( Rome). Pricing was attractive. I consultated with a travel agent we had used in the past. Her comment was " Well, MSC does things a little differently", which doesn't necessarily mean better or worse. The cabin classification is more than inside, ocean view etc. ...

Fabulous ship, lots of Bling, too big to have a good organisation,

we wanted to try this new ship, which seemed very new and impressive. First of all the embarkation was very long at Barcelona, especially with two small kids. First evening we had a safety drill, we were told to go to the Casino with our MSC cards, where we were checked in, shown a storeroom filled with life-jackets, and shown how to put it on, in about 6 languages. In case of a real ...

This was our first MSC Cruise, booked over a year ago as MSC advertisement said it had the latest technology in wrist bands, circus du solei, mirror that allows one to see without putting the clothes on, ten pin bowling, good food restaurants.... So after boarding we found out there were no wrist bands, there were no circus shows (technical issues with both and the show was an extra fee which ...

LOVELY SHIP BUT FAR TOO BUSY

We wanted to go on a brand new ship but they had crammed so many people on it. Mostly Italian and Easter Europeans customer base but this was during school holidays, so there were 5700 people on it. The buffet was horrendously busy as were most public areas. The beautiful promenade walk was always crowded. I am at a loss to understand Why MSC have given space to the chocolate cafe shop which ...

Really disappointing trip.

We booked this trip for our honeymoon, and were accompanied by another two couples. We chose this ship because it was brand new. We had cruised before with Thompson and Royal Caribbean. First off, we had to wait at the airport for our transfer to the ship for just under an hour, the rep did not seem bothered that we were frustrated at their lack of presence. We were then taken to the port and ...

Magnificent ship but too many passengers

We chose this cruise to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary . As we've cruised with MSC on the Opera , Sinfonia and also the Melody many times in the past, we decided to cruise with the Meraviglia being so magnificent from the brochures we looked at. We chose an inside cabin , but unfortunately it was near the back end of the ship, so we had to walk quite some distance to get to the lifts ...

Booked this cruise to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and was initially amazed at such a magnificent ship but unfortunately things went downhill very quickly. Lengthy queques for embarkation and when checked in you are left to fend for yourself with no idea of where to go and no one to tell you.Cabins were excellent and very comfortable. Food was poor with the Market place buffet an ...
