We had a Blast

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We chose this cruise because of the dates. Everything and everyone was wonderful. The only fault we found was the condition of our cabin. The bathroom needed more attention to clean stains in the shower and toilet. There were stains on the bed cover so we just threw it off. We knew this was an older ship that had been refurbished. There was not enough late night entertainment. We are night people. ...

LOOKING GOOD FOR ITS AGE

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

We booked an Alaska cruisetour with Princess after lots of research. Have done nearly 30 cruises with various lines including several with Princess. Spent 7 days on a land tour first, which was excellent and ran very smoothly despite the changes of location along the way. We chose the Grand as we wanted a smaller ship and love the wrap around promenade deck on this older class. The smaller ...

Excellent experience overall

This was a 'cruisetour' to Alaska, starting from Anchorage and ending in Vancouver. The land portion consisted of a first night in Anchorage (stay was at Princess' Captain Cook), second night at McKinley Princess Lodge and third and fourth nights at Denali Princess Lodge. Honestly the stay in Anchorage and McKinley was 'irrelevant' - meaning these were not worthy stops as far as interesting ...

Well organised scenic cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam

We chose Holland America because of their long experience in Alaska and were not disappointed. The scenery was as spectacular as we had hoped for and the ship docked in the most favourable berths at the three ports. The cruise director was both efficient and knowledgeable. The wildlife expert, Kurt, was highly approachable and available outside on the expansive open stern deck 9 whenever there ...

First time cruiser. We did a pile of research and determined that Mrs. Cruiser and I wanted to be on Princess on the southbound sailing from Whittier through the Alaska Glaciers (Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay). We also stopped at Sitka (Skagway was closed), Juneau, and Ketchikan. All in all, everything was done very well by Princess. Embarkation was very smooth, but in Whittier, there was no ...

Land and Sea pairing was great!

We had taken the Inner Passage cruise in Alaska many years ago and always regretted not having gone to the interior, so this time we took the 7 day land tour before getting aboard the Grand Princess for the 7 day cruise back to Vancouver. The Land Tour: We started out in Fairbanks, where we enjoyed a train excursion to a gold dredge, where we panned for gold and I got enough gold to put ...

Alaska is amazingly BEAUTIFUL, Princess Cruises are good

-Don't try to take a quick inland tour before your cruise. Do what we did and take at least a week to see inland Alaska (ride the Wilderness Express on the Alaska Railroad! You will thank me later!) I recommend this be a separate vacation. -The Stewards/Stewardesses and Waiters/Waitresses are AMAZING! But just know ~$15/day gratuity will be charged to your room account daily. That is why ...

Friendly & helpful crew but probably won't do Princess again.

We've sailed on Princess twice now in 2022. In April we sailed on the Ruby and July the Royal. I've been wanting to do a Princess cruise for a while now. In the past we've sailed on Royal Caribbean 3 times, Norwegian once & Carnival once. We won't do a Carnival cruise again. We were on the Carnival Valor and that ship is laid out bad! Embarkation: On the Ruby it took 2 hours of standing ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose the Coral Princess on purpose for its size and she didn't disappoint. We never felt crowded and the captain was able to get us close for some amazing views of the glaciers in Glacier Bay National Park. The Sun deck was easy to go side to side to take in the views. IMHO...I would not book an Alaskan itinerary that didn't go to the glacier park. We saw whales, sea lions, birds, etc. We ...
