This was our first time on an Oceania ship. Friends had said they were very good and considered a "higher level" cruise line. Was really looking forward to the trip. We did a 14 day portion of the 77 day trip from LA to Sydney. The hotels chosen by Oceania for before and after cruise stay in Tokyo and HK were wonderful. However there was a confusion re bus number on embarkation day to take us ...

This was our first experience sailing with Oceania. Overall, it was very enjoyable with a few minor problems I’ll outline later. Here are the positive points. Check in was a breeze. We arrived about 2:30pm and were immediately accompanied to the empty immigration and security areas. A few minutes later we boarded and checked in the quiet Insignia Lounge (again zero people waiting) and were ...

Oceania Insignia Review June, 2023 Cabin Class – B1 – Deck 6 We were on a 24-night cruise from Tokyo to San Francisco via the northern Japanese Islands, the Aleutian Islands, the Inside Passage and the Oregon and Washington coasts. SHIP OVERALL Overall, the ship is in very good condition. However, she was built in 1998 (as the “R One” for Renaissance Cruise Lines), as such it is ...

We chose Oceania based on their culinary record, service and small size. We have previously cruised on Viking and love their modern ships. R class ships have been beautifully refurbished. We had sailed on Azamara Quest - a similar ship from Renaissance cruises. We joined the last segment of ATW cruise which began in San Francisco on January 2023! While a majority of the ship had been together ...

Decent cabin, lovely ship, fellow passengers very nice Best food on the seas ? They have to be joking Tasteless curry Raw pork burger- that's just insane. the executive chef andI spoke about that. He said he was going to get the cook a thermometer. Lord only knows why he didn't have the proper equipment or training to start with Much of whatI had was cold Falafel that wasn't, ...

Just returned from the Tokyo to Singapore (25day)segment of the World Cruise on Insignia. (We were not advised at time of booking with Oceania that we were joining a world cruise)Spent a lot of money on this trip and have never had such a bad experience on Oceania. We were not aware we were joining aprox 360 world cruisers (w.c’s.) but found out right away that cliques had already been established ...

great itinerary, great staff, very clean. Canyon ranch spa food was a joke. No yoga equipment as was promised by cruiseline staff. We would go again and know better waht to expect, especially with the food; not a lot of healthy options. After the first few days the waitstaff prepared a salad for us for every meal so we at least had some good nutrition daily. Thoought the entertainment was ...

This was our 5th cruise with Oceania. We chose this particular one for its itinerary, starting in Tokyo and ending in Bangkok. It was the only one we found on an upscale cruise line that covered so much of the coast of Asia in less than 3 weeks. The choice of ports was excellent -- but be aware that it is extremely hot in Saigon and Bangkok in mid-April. The cruise started in Tokyo on March ...

Chose this cruise because of the inclusive itinerary which included Vietnam where I served during the War in 1967 - 1968. Also, past experiences on Oceania have been excellent! Ship provided tours were good but not exceptional! Service everywhere aboard the ship was beyond excellent! Food assistance always available in the terrace for those needed help carrying their plates. Wine ...

Excellent menu and presentation, 5-star service throughout the ship. Fabulous ports of call with very diversified tours. People where all well traveled and open to conversations and friendly. Oceania is an above average, luxury cruise line attracting well traveled, higher educated people all interested in the itinerary and gourmet food services at a high standard. Though this ship offered this ...
