Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Journey

Azamara's ships are older and beginning to show their age but are clean and well-maintained. Our wheelchair-accessible suite was comfortable with plenty of storage. The bath including roll-in shower is small but with good access. The cabin door is power operated. We found the food as good or better than expected with the exception of Aquilina. Choose Prime C instead. The main dining room is also ...

A Great Regent Cruise -- Returning in August

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Debated whether it was a 4* or a 5. Lets say 4.5 and round it up. Itinerary was Tokyo to Tokyo with stops in Japan, Korea and China. Pre Cruise (included) - We did our own air and transfers. Added 2 days on our own to the hotel @ $450 a night. The pre cruise tours were organized by Destinations Asia and had an American in the front doing all the managing and announcements. Worked well ...

Oceania Insignia Review June, 2023 Cabin Class – B1 – Deck 6 We were on a 24-night cruise from Tokyo to San Francisco via the northern Japanese Islands, the Aleutian Islands, the Inside Passage and the Oregon and Washington coasts. SHIP OVERALL Overall, the ship is in very good condition. However, she was built in 1998 (as the “R One” for Renaissance Cruise Lines), as such it is ...

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Silver Whisper

We chose this cruise because we wanted a luxury cruise at a discount to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary. We also chose this particular cruise because we wanted to visit relatives in Tokyo & see some of the Silverseas ports. We were very happy with all that Silverseas had to offer: service, food quality, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, service, activities, cleanliness, & did I ...

Intensive Itinerary Aboard a Boutique Cruise Ship

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Quest

We selected this cruise as we were familiar with the Azamara line, having sailed with them previously. We prefer ships with fewer than 1,000 passengers, port-intensive itineraries, and the carefree nature of all-inclusive voyages. This was our 42nd cruise in all, and our fourth with Azamara. Having visited most of Asia on prior land and cruise vacations, The "Land of the Rising Sun" had alluded ...

We chose this cruise because it was next on our bucket list. We really wanted to know Japan, not just from Tokyo, but from the aspect of the people in the smaller towns and ports. We have also had great experiences with the Intensive cruise on Azamara in the past. We hold Azamara to a very high standard based on past sailings. This cruise met and exceeded our expectations. The high points are ...

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We have completed 13 Regent cruises (with 222 nights), and was surprised with a poor review on Cruise Critic from one couple. We were on that same Regent Mariner cruise and had none of the 'problems' described--we adapted to changes that we could not control. Both Regent and we could not control the weather. First--If they did not like their multi-hour air-schedule, it can be ...

I chose Silver Seas because of the great service, great food and wonderful staff. Getting on board is always easy and fast, and a nice welcome from our butler. Couldn't wait to have my first glass of champagne. The staff is helpful and friendly every day - not just the first day. We asked about a special meal for my husband (he loves escargot) , and of course - he got it! The singers are very ...

Chose this cruise because of the inclusive itinerary which included Vietnam where I served during the War in 1967 - 1968. Also, past experiences on Oceania have been excellent! Ship provided tours were good but not exceptional! Service everywhere aboard the ship was beyond excellent! Food assistance always available in the terrace for those needed help carrying their plates. Wine ...

great itinerary, great staff, very clean. Canyon ranch spa food was a joke. No yoga equipment as was promised by cruiseline staff. We would go again and know better waht to expect, especially with the food; not a lot of healthy options. After the first few days the waitstaff prepared a salad for us for every meal so we at least had some good nutrition daily. Thoought the entertainment was ...
