Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Journey

Azamara's ships are older and beginning to show their age but are clean and well-maintained. Our wheelchair-accessible suite was comfortable with plenty of storage. The bath including roll-in shower is small but with good access. The cabin door is power operated. We found the food as good or better than expected with the exception of Aquilina. Choose Prime C instead. The main dining room is also ...

A lovely cruise but itinerary could be improved.

Had some reservations about Azamara as the company had changed hands since our last cruise with them. However, we were happy with the ship, cabin comfortable, excellent cabin attendant Raymond. Food good in dining room and buffet. We enjoyed the destination lectures. Agree with previous reviewer, the drummers from Kagoshima were amazing. Also the buffet on the deck before we reached ...

Oceania will not be our future pick

Review for a Asia Cruise on Riviera

We chose this, our first Oceania cruise, because we wanted the itinerary, the smaller ship, and the advertised educational talks. The advertised 'best food on the ocean' was a perk, but was not necessary for us. This is what happened: Oceania didn’t provide nearly enough excursions. A whole busload of us, through our Roll Call, finally booked excursions with the only company we could get 3 ...

Cocktail help?!

Had a great time on our first regent Cruise. The food and service were both excellent. We did miss not having a buffet available at dinner time. Loved the Meridian Lounge with the many choices of craft cocktails. The excursions were all very good. The only one we paid for was the trip to Hakone NP in Tokyo. Unfortunately, it was the worst weather day we had on the whole trip and we were ...

First and last experience with ’ultra’ luxury line

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Overall, while we enjoyed our vacation, the on-board experience of the RSSC explorer failed to live up to the hype of an ‘ultra’ luxury cruise line and we will be unlikely to book again. Dining: Specialty dining was an exception to our general experience, generally being outstanding on this cruise. Service and food quality in these venues was markedly superior to main dining (Compass Rose) and ...

Disappointing cruise experience

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We decided to book a cruise with Cunard again after a wonderful past experience in 2017 on the Queen Mary 2. Although our recent trip had a great itinerary, unfortunately the ship, food, beverages, entertainment & service did not measure up. Everything was ordinary, even though we paid dearly for a penthouse suite in Queen's Grill. Cunard also did not honor their own All-Inclusive Beverage ...

A Great Regent Cruise -- Returning in August

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Debated whether it was a 4* or a 5. Lets say 4.5 and round it up. Itinerary was Tokyo to Tokyo with stops in Japan, Korea and China. Pre Cruise (included) - We did our own air and transfers. Added 2 days on our own to the hotel @ $450 a night. The pre cruise tours were organized by Destinations Asia and had an American in the front doing all the managing and announcements. Worked well ...

We were under the impression that Regent was a luxury cruise line and we wanted to try it .Oh what a mistake that was We tried to be positive but found the food very hit or miss throughout the ship,we never truly experienced a really memorable meal The poor service was clearly down to poorly trained and shortage of staff The excursions provided by Regent that we booked on were an absolute ...

Seven Seas Explorer - Very good but not 5 Stars

14 Night Tokyo to Bangkok cruise on Seven Seas Explorer - in F1 Superior Suite single occupancy. First time on Regent and chose this cruise for the port variety. Demographic was as you would expect at this price point - over 65, with a real mixture of nationalities - large group of Australians, some New Zealanders and Canadians, good numbers from the UK and Europe, a few from Asia and the ...

Very Good, but not Luxury

This was our first cruise with Regent and our first cruise on a 'Luxury Cruise Line' prior to this we had done over 400 days of cruising on Princess and other supposedly next level down cruise lines.• Regent is touted as the top of the line in luxury cruising. However, I must say our experience is that they are not. The service levels were very poor compared to other supposedly lower ...
