Appalling service - worst cruise ever

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Grand Princess

Friends anniversary Appalling service, waited 1.5 hrs for every drink and food ordered some were never delivered but charged on app. App medallion did not work. No staff. This is with Princess plus package. The whole ship was a disgrace. Severe toxic fuel smell and sewerage smell down corridors. Paid top money for 2 days - would never travel with this liner. Went to speak with ...

World Cruise Itinerary needs to be changed and “Value our loyalty” I would dispute

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Coral Princess

Having done more than 20 cruises with Princess, I understood what their “loyalty program” meant and why we aspired to be Elite members. Today is so different, the speeches remain the same but nothing else. Gone are the precious internet minutes; discounts in the shops are only on full priced items; no special toiletries in the bathrooms; and reduced access to the Captain Circle rep on board. ...

We saw this was available and matched up with our planned cruise so booked on the spur of the moment. We managed to get the same cabin however we were upgraded to a mini suite at the last minute for this short time. Getting onto the ship was easy in Sydney, the train takes you directly from the airport to Circular Quay where the ship docks. Smooth boarding. COVID safe, masks inside at all times ...

First cruise since Pandemic. First cruise with Princess. Boarding at OPT, Sydney extremely efficient. Despite being lowest level of loyalty, on board within 15mins and rooms were ready at 12.45. Guarantee balcony cabin. Assigned A632 AFT cabin on Aloha deck. Cabin very nice. Great view from balcony. Queen bed extremely comfy. Plenty of space. Desk & chair but no couch. Balcony had two ...

Well, we had our second cruise on Coral Princess and our third. (don't worry the 2 cruises totalled 5 nights) We were hoping to see some improvements to our last trip in August. However, it was ground hog day. Still couldn't book a specialty restaurant as they were booked out way in advance. On the August cruise the pools were heated to a nice temperature but on this one they were freezing. ...

We have been cruising for many years on some great ships, some okay ships,a few not so good ships and now on a ship that was not ready to sail after covid. We took this cruise to Hawaii as our lifetime dream cruise to Hawaii for our retirement,45th anniversary and wifes 66th birthday, but Princess destroyed that experience and don't want to take responsibility for the overwelming amount of problems ...

Far better then expected!

Being my first cruise post covid lock down, and our very first princess cruise, I had very high expectations. I have only previously sailed with Royal Caribbean and found the 12 night Queensland cruise and its ports on offer from princess very appealing. Once we boarded the Coral princess the high standards of its crew started to show. The crew were always very happy to see and greet you as ...

Overall disappointment

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

We enjoy cruising and have been of +20 trips. We have used Princess in the past and this one was certainly not up to previous standards. They have instituted a new 'medallion' process which in theory sounds good. However, they went live with this new technology before it was thoroughly tested or de-bugged. The medallion would most often not work and the wheel would just spin attempting to ...

Destination good, ship poor

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Ruby Princess

Chosen because of its destination. New Zealand. First impression. The ship was big. Cabin was very comfortable. Nice touch with floor lights when using the bathroom at night. Plenty of hanging space and storage.Initial thoughts that the ship had a lot of rust for its age. Fixtures and fittings in some public areas looked tired.. Theatre was very good but only catered for 1400 passengers per show ...

Saw some nice things, BUT!

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Ruby Princess

User Avatar

My first experience with Princess and I have to say on this size ship it will probably be my last. The ship itself was fine, although the elevators were always crammed with people and mobility scooters etc. which made getting from the lower decks to the Horizon buffet on level 15 tedious and frustrating. The cabin was well fitted out and comfortable. The beds were probably the highlight, so ...
