We wanted to complete an earlier world cruise, and so booked the 49 day Sydney to New York cruise. We love the QM2 and continue to love it. After the Covid pause we were a bit worried as to what shape the ship would be in, but we found it to be in good shape. Things are returning to normal. The ship was very clean, and the deck crew was putting a lot of time and effort into painting.

I was only on the Arcadia for a 3 day trip Syd to Bris.
Solo traveller paid $1000 for 3 nights in deluxe balcony cabin.
Cabin was nice, although I really had to twist the Steward's arm to
get a white robe.
Food in Belverede (Buffet) was like Boarding School - small display and not

Summary:
A most disappointing cruise with Oceania. With essentially 3 missed tender ports, 3 evacuations for medical reasons, mechanical issues with the PA system that forced 1 missed port and one delayed port, What was to be a moderately port intensive cruise became a transatlantic cruise with a couple of stops in Australia and Indonesia.

This is not a luxury ship. Old with mildew present onboard. Ship should be retired. It is like a nursing home with poor entertainment and very little activities especially on sea days. Horrible time. I first have to say this was my 4 th cruise on Oceania and will be my last. This cruise line has gone down hill very quickly ( perhaps since Norwegian took over). The public rooms were refurbished and are in nice shape but the cabins need a complete gutting. The food which was excellent in the past is just okay.
