Cruising the Inside Passage has been a dream for decades, the itinerary suited us and what the ship seemed to offer looked good.

We had wished to enjoy Alaska and learn about the people and places. All we got was a boat ride and some food. Cruise offered no information about Alaska, made available only expensive commercial tours available to anyone that shows up, and were ill informed about Alaska.

Our first cruise on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship. The Sun is the smallest cruise ship we have cruised on, so it was quite different than all others. That being said and "supposedly" being "updated" in 2016, the old lady is definitely showing her age in a day of newer, bigger, better cruise ships. Many pro's and con's to the Sun.

Our Alaskan cruise was a great trip for our family of 12 of all ages. 8 of us also went on the land tour to Denali in advance of the cruise.
