The staff on Seabourn Odysey is extremely friendly, competent and helpful. The ship itself has many choices of places to spend your time, either alone or with others. The food is outstanding in all four restaurants with good choices and several opportunities to experience each of the venues. Restaurant 2 was particularly notable for its creative and excellent cuisine. Tours were comprehensive ...
Seabourn has beautiful ships and their small passenger complement makes it easy to meet new people. There are drawbacks with small ships...among them are small casinos and limited speakers and entertainment. That is offset by the fact that you have 5 star dining, and you eat when you want to, and generally whatever you want to. Smaller ships also can go into smaller ports, which is a huge ...
My husband and I have travelled on Silversea and Regent in the last 12 months so we were interested to try Seabourn to see how they compared. So we booked the ‘Gems of the Java Sea’ from Singapore to Bali.
First impressions were favourable. We had heard that on the previous cruise that embarkation was a nightmare and several people had complained. Obviously Seabourn had listened and embarkation ...
As a former Regent cruiser, this was my first cruise on Seabourn and my first as a "solo" traveler. I can only say it was wonderful. Seabourn it seems has mastered personal customer recognition in a way only a very fine hotel might. Passengers are almost always greeted by name . Though there are only 360 passengers this is still pretty special. In many ways while on my trip , I felt like I had ...
I have now sailed on Seabourn 3x and can say this was my best experience. To put in context, I travel a lot for business and am fortunate to stay in many of the finer hotels in the world. In addition, I have cruised on Regent, not to be repeated under any circumstance. We choose Seabourn because we like the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, the no hassle room service and great food. This cruise was ...
We have just returned from our first Seabourn cruise and can only say we had a wonderful experience.
Staff were absolutely wonderful if not outstanding.
Cabins well fitted out and very comfortable.
Dining options were very good, with a high standard of ingredients and presentation and considering how long we were on board food never became boring, Restaurant 2, the tasting menu was totally ...
In writing this review I am going to do a typical university thing: compare and contrast, mainly because I have decided it is impossible for me not to be constantly comparing: in the last year I have spent sixty days on Oceania (and previously several dozen more), and have just completed my first ten day son Seabourn. How could I not compare? I will leave it to the reader to judge whether or not ...
We cruised on the Seabourn small ships before but our first cruise on the new, larger vessels was in January 2013 from Sydney to Auckland. We enjoyed this cruise so much we endured the long flight once more from Florida to join the Odyssey in Singapore for a very interesting repositioning trip to Dubai via India.
Embarkation was delayed because the computer system went down but after that it was ...
We are regular Seabourn travellers but new to Odyssey so comparisons with the 'triplets' are somewhat inevitable. In Feb - March 2010 we cruised from Sydney to Hong Kong via Cairns, Darwin, Bali, Brunei and Kota Kinabalu over 21 days and enjoyed ourselves greatly.
Odyssey is very beautiful but it is not a yacht. Eleven decks, 30,000+ tons, and 450 passengers is not going to be a yacht. On the ...
