Not bad and not good either: it's mediocre.

Review for a South America Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

Imagine a ship with a weird design, everything is turned inward, the window views of some bars are blocked by equipment and always close the blinds of all windows at night. To see the sea you have to go to the pool deck and face the wind and mud. On the 6th floor deck there are side aisles, but there are no chairs to sit and read a book. Imagine that the service has no standard, indicating the ...

Good but very disorganized and bad trips.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Costa Favolosa

The events and the food inside the ship are good. But Costa seriously sins in the organization and contracting of services. For example, I booked through the site a laundry package ($ 29.90) and did not use the service. However, on the day of shipment my credit card was already charged without my having used the service. I looked for customer service and they said they could not extort the value ...

Interesting Itinerary

Review for a South America Cruise on MSC Magnifica

I live in Brazil near Sao Paulo and the idea of cruising without having to fly first was appealing. The cabin was huge, and the waiter was very good. The food was mediocre and we had a room full of women next door who thought they should be very loud at any time of the day or night. We had the unlimited drink package, but the wines they allowed were very limited. We tried a couple of times to ...

Language problems almost ruined this cruise.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

Chose this cruise for the transatlantic crossing and some of the ports. Having been on Rhapsody before the ship is in need of some TLC however the overall experience of the ship was good. Embarkation was a little slow with the girl behind the counter more interested in joking and carrying on with a fellow worker than serving us and getting the job done. As soon as you got on the ship you ...

A bit disappointing

Review for a South America Cruise on MSC Preziosa

We were a family of 4, a couple with 2 teenagers, a girl (16) and a boy (14). We have booked for our first cruise on Preziosa one of the most expensive cabins in the Yacht Club class, the Executive Family suite. The first disappointment on arrival was that although we were in the front of the ship and had a balcony we could not access it as the windows were sealed and could not open. A shame, for ...

Christmas Cruise at MSC Poesia - not a fantastic experience

Review for a South America Cruise on MSC Poesia

We had a family vacation time during the Christmas week, departing from Santos - Brazil heading to Montevideo / Punta del Este (Uruguay) and Buenos Aires (Argentina)... Our expectation (we had a group of 5 balcony cabins to our family) was to have time to relax and enjoy the trip. To make short a long history, we waited for approximately 5 hours to get on board in a very crowd area (even ...

A Touch of Brazil

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Costa Fascinosa

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, we wanted a taste of Brazil and the time of year suited us, as our main holiday is now usually taken during the northern European winter. I booked all the elements separately because I used the opportunity to use some frequent flyer miles for the flight. This was our first cruise with Costa. Sailing from Santos to Rio de Janeiro (overnight), Salvador Bahia, ...

Just returning from a 7-night cruise aboard the MSC Preziosa . Travelled with my husband , my parents , in-laws and 3 nephews . Among nine people , only the children were fully satisfied with the ship . This was my fourth cruise, the first by MSCs . We chose Preziosa because it was the newest ship traveling along the Brazilian coast , and really , its decor is beautiful , extremely tasteful . ...

Great ship, awful food!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Musica

This was our second transatlantic cruise. We fell in love with the destinations: 3 stops in Brazil, 5 days crossing the Atlantic ocean, Canary Islands, Funchal, Malaga, Tunisia, Croatia and finally Venice. Cabin and dinner service was great. Breakfast and lunch were not so good. The staff was slow (almost sleeping), we never got hot toast in the morning and they never changed the breakfast menu. ...
