Took a western Carribean cruise and both my wife and I became sick just after getting off the ship. Both have viral infections and have missed worked since arriving back home. There was no conscious effort as there is with other cruise lines to sanitize passengers hands coming and going from ship or in dining facilities.
Our balcony room was well kept and room stewards were great. The shows ...
The Carnival Liberty was swapped with the Valor prior to my cruise the stops were identical. We skipped St. Kitts and went to Antigua and it was lovely the staff was very helpful switching out our excursion to the new port. The ship was great the staff was amazing loved the cruise director and assistant cruise director. My only negative was I did not like the American Table menu as much as ...
The Valor was very clean the workers were great and very friendly. I made friends with one bartender that took care of the smokers lounge. I think he was from Croatia. He was great day or night true bartender. He gave great advice and made you feel so comfortable . The food was great at every restaurant and buffet. I mean great from roast beef to ice cream. We ate at the dining room once and ...
First, this was the Carnival Valor repositioning cruise from 3/22/15 out of San Juan arriving on 3/27/15 in Port Canaveral. Therefore, we only went to St. Martin and then St. Thomas with 2 days at Sea. As a result, the cruise price was insanely cheap.
We arrived a day early at San Juan just in case our flight was delayed. Spent the night and the next day arrived at the San Juan Port. The ...
We were on the last cruise by the Valor out of San Juan before it got repositioned. We had a very nice time.
The good:
Although the ship has not received the Funship 2.0 upgrades, it has been very well maintained. Public areas were kept very clean, our room was quite nice. Some reviews commented on ship being in poor shape, but it's beyond me to figure out what they were referring ...
We are from Ontario and my husband is a teacher so we tend to travel during March Break somewhere south. This is our 5th cruise and our second cruise aboard a Carnival ship. We traveled with two other couples. We landed in San Juan on the day of our cruise around 2:30pm. We got a shuttle from the airport to cruise terminal and were through the embarkation process very quickly.
We had ...
First time cruisers. Loved the Valor. Intinerary was great, we saw a lot in just 7 days. Never thought we are cruise kind of people before, but we really loved it. Absolutly incredible people working on this ship! Our steward was great, people in dining areas were great, everyone working there was fantastic. Special thanks to crew at Camp Carnival! Great job with our 2 year old! Cabin was ...
My husband and I are seasoned cruisers this was our 9 th cruise. We meet up with 2 other couples from Canada. We are from Michigan. I gotta say that anytime we take a cruise it is always enjoyable. Anytime I don"t have to cook or clean I don"t care where we go! This cruise was no different.
I would have to say the food is not quite up to par. In the main dining room there was not a good ...
This was our 6th cruise with Carnival and our 2nd time on the Valor. All our embarkations in the past have been from Florida and this was an unique experience for us getting onto the ship from San Juan. We traveled with Dave from Barrie (see review) Since the ship doesn't leave port until 10 pm we found there were no large crowds trying to get on the ship all at once. Going thru all the check ...
I had a wonderful time on the Valor with two other friends from Kansas City. The Aft Stateroom we stayed in, located on the Empress deck was wonderful. As a matter of fact, sleeping on the Aft deck was very serene and peaceful. Nothing like the waves and fresh air to rock one into a deep sleep. The Serenity deck was good to visit, especially when everyone was off the ship doing their ...
