Scenic has just started in the luxury cruise business and it shows. Rating Scenic with the "top tier" cruise lines, they come in dead last. Food was just so so, cabin was a nightmare, entertainment was bare bones, and most of the land tours were boring. Service could be good at times and the staff was friendly.

We had previously been on Scenic River cruises and were exceptionally pleased with every aspect of the trip. It was a true 5-star experience so we had high expectations for this ocean cruise. Just recently sailed on the Azamara Quest from San Diego to Miami through the Panama Canal. We chose this cruise for the Panama Canal experience and the size of the ship. Embarkation was quicker than anticipated as we hit a lull in the arrival of passengers.
