Embarkation was a breeze especially since the ship was in port overnight. Liked our cabin, especially the bathroom. There is never enough storage but Viking has tried to include more than other lines. A few days into the trip we asked for a pad over the mattress because the mattress needed to be softer for us....it was brought immediately....our cabin attendant, Fery, is the best!! The ...

We chose this cruise because it was to destinations that were unusual for us and a great way to celebrate our 40 years of marriage. Everything onboard was way above average and made it very special trip for us. We enjoyed the shore excursions, although several of the guides on the included excursions could have been better. The food was wonderful. We ate in the specialty restaurants 4 times ...

This was our second Viking Ocean Cruise so we knew exactly what to expect and Viking met our expectations & more. We chose this itinerary (Iceland/Faroe Islands/Norway) to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Viking provides the best value all-inclusive, "quiet luxury" cruising we've experienced with spacious balcony rooms throughout the ship, top-notch service, delicious & varied dining, ...

First Time Cruiser

I had always wanted to explore Iceland and Scandinavia. What better way to do this than on a superior, luxury cruise? Prior cruisers raved about this cruise line on social media. Included excursions at every port, unlimited dining at the specialty restaurants, included use of the spa, beer and wine at lunch & dinner, included WiFi, snack bar refills at no additional charge, verandas for cabins, ...

This was our first time on Viking Ocean. We have cruised 4 times before with Viking River, and about 35 other ocean cruises. My review is in comparison with Azamara, Princess and Celebrity cruises. The Ship: Very clean, modern and well maintained. Staff was always walking around with a basket of cleaning supplies, looking for any spot to clean. Lots of areas to sit and read, play games with ...

We have only been on a few cruises. We selected Viking based on friend's recommendation, industry reputation and the itinerary was just what we were looking forward. The Viking SKY did not disappoint. Everything was spotless clean, food was excellent, service 10 stars, shipmates were fun and engaging, wonderful ports and excursions, fun entertainment and plenty of beautiful public spaces to ...

If you enjoy the outdoors, the ports on this cruise won’t disappoint. My husband and I hiked, rode bikes, climbed waterfalls, in short, took advantage of the landscapes offered in Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Norway. We planned most of our own shore excursions by ourselves or with a small group. We both hate large coach tours, so most shore excursions offered by Viking were not an option. ...

We chose this cruise as a way to visit both Greenland and Nunavut. With our tickets, two weeks before departure, the itinerary stated that we would not be able to go ashore at any of the three stops in Nunavut. We did not look at the itinerary before boarding the ship - we thought we knew where we were going and had of course paid in full. We anchored in the harbour of Iqaliut for customs ...

Iceland bucket-list trip on a tired old ship. Everything about the ship was off on this trip--rooms were worn, carpets stained, tables scratched, etc, tours late or over-booked, food so-so-ish, and service mostly good, but occasionally lax. Everyone from the Captain, yes the Captain, on down seemed unhappy with the ship and the itinerary. Rumors circulated that the Captain had complained about ...

Cruise around Iceland

We chose this cruise for the itinerary around Iceland. The scenery is as we have hoped. We were on Star Legend previously and loved the food and lack of lines. Star Breeze delivered on the same strengths. We spent a lot of time on deck 8 in the Yacht club because of the cold and windy weather, and limited activities. The officers did provide interesting information during our visit to the ...
