Friendly, But Poor Value

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Regatta

The Regatta fell far short of Celebrity ships in terms of plush, impressive common areas, such as forums, restaurants, theatres, etc. The casino seemed to have little interest in serving customers. There were no tournaments for the guests and no $5 minimum blackjack tables. The chairs for video gambling were much too low for comfort. There were no production stage numbers, such as you get most ...

This was actually the 2nd time on this particular ship -- previously when it was Renaissance in 2001. Love the size of ship with less than 700 passengers. Love that fact that you don't have the continuous overhead announcements and picture taking. Very personalized service both in the cabins, dining room and through out. Due to the capacity, getting off and back on the ship was easy. ...

Oceania - Regatta - Cruise - Dover to Stockholm-14 days My wife and I took this cruise on July12, 2010. We flew to Heathrow and were driven to the ship at Dover by a van booked through Oceania (they also drove us from the ship to the airport in Stockholm at the cruise's conclusion). Cost per person: $189. Very smooth and easy...and pricey. Our ocean view cabin on deck three was well laid out ...

Dover to Stockholm via St Petersburg and the Baltic

This was our second cruise on Oceania, both on the Regatta. The ship was as clean and before, and the staff maintained its excellent level of service and responsiveness. We flew into London Heathrow, were met quickly by the Oceania rep, got on the shuttle within 15 minutes and were enroute to Dover. After a 90-minute drive (during which we caught up on our sleep), we were at the ship. It was ...

Our first Oceania cruise. Our rating is excellent, overall. Our cruise started in Stockholm , sailing up and down the Baltic, Kiel Canal, North Sea, to Amsterdam, Bruges and then ending in London. We chose Oceania transfers and after a 14 hour (in the air) over two flights from Vancouver, we were really glad we did. We barely knew our names, let alone trying to figure out where the cab stands were, ...

This was our second time sailing with Oceania (the other in 2005 Barcelona to Istanbul). We like the smaller ships (less than 700 passengers) and the port intensive itineraries of Oceania. The ships are very nicely appointed and have a "country club casual" ambience. No need to pack all that formal wear. Although staterooms are known to be on the smallish side, they are very well laid out and ...

I know we took our cruise 11 months ago but I am new to Cruise Critic and figured why not write a review about this wonderful trip. It all started in New York on Aug. 10th where we flew out of JFK non-stop to Heathrow. We arrived early in the morning and took some time to see the sights of London. We then took the train to Dover followed by a cab ride to the ship. Now to the exciting stuff. ...

Booked Oceania as it was deemed to be the next level of luxury up from the standard lines (as the price would also encourage you to believe). Ship is nicely decorated, but nothing that special - pretty standard. Service is excellent, this is one well trained staff. Oceania prides itself on having some of the best food on the sea and you will not be disappointed. The 2 specialty restaurants ...

Just returned from the Baltic on Regatta on the July 17 sailing. Generally it was a very good cruise, it being our 17th. The good stuff. The ship is clean and well kept; lots of room to move around. Crew is helpful and pleasant. Food is excellent. Among the best we've had, including Silverseas. Oceania has done a good job here in all venues. Beds are as advertised. We slept well every night. ...

This cruise line is pretending to be close to first class. First the management and officers are pathetically uninterested in passengers. I dealt with one who could not sell $5 for $4. How did I dislike this ship? Let me count some of the ways. Bathroom not big enough. Staff, with many exceptions, untrained and uncaring. Butler service a joke. Absolutely worthless. Food, except at the Italian ...
