Spent far too much time and energy planning this cruise and cruise tour. The web site and app. is not user friendly and response time is hit and miss likely causing us to book our next cruise with another company. Otherwise I would have rated this cruise a solid 4, maybe even 5.
However, The logisistics and on board and on land service was excellent at all levels. This was our 2nd Alaska ...
There's a lot of things that made this entire experience not enjoyable from the beginning. Dealing with customer service is almost nonexistent. They do not reply to emails, when you cancel things on their website there's no way to tell if you're due reimbursement, where it goes, and their methodology for giving onboard credit versus a refund and when they issue is vague at best. We were due ...
Wanted a great experience to Alaska after 9 Caribbean cruises with various cruise lines. Chose Princess and invited 6 first time cruisers to come with my wife and I. Princess transfers, Princess plus package, balcony rooms, and shore excursions all through Princess. I thought choosing Princess would be nicer than other Cruise lines, it isn't. Transfers on and off ship smooth, embarkation was ...
We chose Princess for Alaska because we wanted to do land and sea; Denali and Glacier Bay National Park. Princess was impressively responsive in regards to assisting after flights got canceled. We had a mini suite room onboard and it was definitely the best cabin we have ever had - spacious with a beautiful balcony, which you 100% want for an Alaskan cruise if you can at all swing it.
On the ...
We chose a Princess cruise thinking we were selecting a top shelf experience. Sadly, the cruise experience was less than we were hoping for.
On a positive note, the highlight of the cruise was the on-board staff. They were kind and gracious at every interaction.
The ship itself was mostly tired and showing its age despite a recent retrofit. A bright spot was the fitness center. it ...
My wife and I really enjoy cruising. We have done this itinerary in 2008 and joined friends again. We did 4 days into Alaska staying at the Princess lodges around Denali which are very nice.
Take the train (Princess sightseeing car) from Denali to Whitter and board the ship. The ship is older and dated, worn. the service is very good , food is very good, dining offerings are very ...
Wanted to do the Alaskan itinerary and chose Princess because they have such a huge stake in Alaska. This was also our 4th cruise with Princess and had a pretty good experience in the past. We stayed in 4 different properties over the 5 day land tour, which was a little tiring, but we knew that going into the trip. All of the coach drivers were amazing! The pre-arranged land excursions were ...
Our friends convinced us to take Majestic Princess to Alaska as they’d taken it twice before and raved about it. Unfortunately, we had rainy, cloudy weather 5 of the 7 days and a landslide closed the Skagway port so we were rerouted to Icy Strait. This port was small, and we didn’t find much to do in the 12 hours we were there. We weren’t able to see a lot at our first four points of interest - ...
We chose this cruise as it was a decent price, had the 11 day land / sea option that I really wanted to do.
We flew from Vancouver to Anchorage 3 days before our actual start date. I recommend booking your flights along way in advance as the dates do not line up well with the sailing / land tour start dates. Flight cost was $280 CDN pp one way.
Hotels in Anchorage are expensive! Expect $250 ...
My wife and I took a 7 day cruise from Whittier to Vancouver. Prior to that we had a 7 day inland trip staying in three princess lodges. Overall the inland trip was superior by far although the Princess lodges are adequate but not up to a typical city hotel standard.
The Princess Magestic was a beautiful ship which was kept extremely clean at all times by the staff. Princess uses a medalion ...
