Thoroughly enjoyed 8 days on Royal Princess

Will definitely cruise on this ship again if we have the chance. Embarkation was a breeze we were on board within 30 minutes of port arrival. Disembarkation was also good also around 30 mins after joining cue. We have cruised with R.C, P&O, and Carnival previously and found this ship to be in most aspects a cut above. The decor is clearly more premium including the stateroom. Staff were ...

South Pacific Cruise

I chose this cruise as I wanted to return to cruising after a long break with health issues and the pandemic. It offered an opportunity to revisit some ports which I hadn't seen for about half a century at a reasonable price. It was a good time to go, as it was outside school holidays, although the time of year meant that in the tropical locations visited there was a strong possibility of ...

A bit of an odd ship but still one of the best we've done

We've cruised to the Pacific before and we have cruised with pre-pandemic Princess so this will be both an honest and (hopefully) informed review. Overall I feel Majestic Princess hits its mark as a premium cruise line. There are some little oddities with the ship, primarily as a result of its designed for China past. I'll deal with those issues first. Yes it would be better with a wake pool; ...

We did a back to back cruise on Majestic Princess from 18th January to 10th February 2024. The first cruise was a 13 night cruise and sailed to Pacific Islands of Vanuatu, Fiji & New Caledonia. The second cruise sailed to Queensland. Both cruises started and ended in Sydney. We flew to Sydney from London Heathrow via Singapore with British Airways which was a very pleasant flight. We just ...

This is our second time on the Majestic. We had sailed on her in 2019. Cabin mini-suite. Bathroom was still tight but a real bath is nice option. Though the plugs aren’t the best for holding water, especially in the sink for shaving purposes. Balcony was very small for a mini suite, uncovered so no privacy from above. We knew about this though before boarding. Though water drips from deck ...

The cabin was very nice - no complaints. We went to all the inclusive restaurants and the food and service were great - absolutely no complaints. There was always something to cater for everyone and when you think of the number of meals they produce it was a well-oiled machine. The buffet catered really well for the number of people. The only time there were real queues were when the ...

This 14-day cruise to New Zealand from Sydney was my husband’s second and my third. We are in our late 60s and cost-conscious. We were bound to be excited by the weather as it was summer there and we were in winter at home. We have not done a lot of traveling outside of the United States. We did not use a travel agent, but I spend a lot of time on research. Because of what I suspect was a ...

Dear all, Here is a brief trip report on a cruise we did from Australia to New Zealand, which may help anyone planning similar. We went on the Royal Princess, out of Sydney (December, 2023). We had a balcony room on the left side of the ship (which afforded the best views when arriving at ports). Overall, the cruise ship was very good. -Embarkation in Sydney was a bit shambolic and ...

This ship has an open promenade area, which we like. There were lots of music and other events in this area which were very, very good. The evening shows were generally wonderful, with a few exceptions. The Princess singer and dancers were amazing. Our balcony cabin was just fine. We don't normally do a balcony but we enjoyed it on this cruise. The sports up top were quite disappointing because of ...

Very average experience on board the Majestic Princess

We chose this cruise to see Fiji, but bad weather pushed us away from the Fiji islands two days early. Out of three planned days in Fiji, we only were able to see the Suva area and in heavy rain. The cruise made up for it with an extra day at sea and an extra day in New Caledonia. The ship itself is relatively new, so it looks fresh, but overall, it's appearance is average. I think the ...
